@m_lingenfelter and @rossbryant Here is what I created for a profile in Apple Configurator 2. AC2 Global HTTP Proxy This is the string I use but sanitized. https://www.securly.com/smart.pac?fid=xxxxx@eaglepnt.k12.or.us&user=$OWNERUSERNAME@stu.eaglepnt.k12.or.us I then upload the created profile into Meraki and have it push out to student devices. Securly Profile When Meraki pushes it onto the device is when the variable is sorted out and injected into the string that ends up on the iPad. iPad Proxy Setting Please if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

@RamShear The only time these settings can be applied is on the initial setup of the device. If these devices are already up and running when this profile is applied the only way these settings can take affect is if the device is reset. There is no method for these to be applied after the initial setup is completed.

@Twitch Yeah it appears that the Dashboard was not accessible for 10ish minutes. In that time frame devices were not able to check in which is triggering the email messages about devices being offline when in fact they have been working fine the whole time.

Are any of you having issues using an Apple Caching Server? If so, you might try restarting it if you haven't. I know here that if we see issues with Apple downloading slowly it is due to the caching server and after a restart performance goes back to normal.

@AaronTeh, 1. It appears that based on the Meraki Documentation you will need to re-enroll all of the devices. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_MDM_Push_Certificate#Renewing_an_Apple_MDM_Push_Certificate 2. Yes, the iPads will continue to function but will not longer receive commands or update in the Meraki Dashboard until they are fixed.

@AaronTeh I would advise getting that profile updated before it expires, otherwise you will have to re-enroll all of your devices. You do not under any circumstances want to let it expire. I believe if you do, you lose all functionality to control the iPads through the Dashboard until they are re-enrolled. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_MDM_Push_Certificate#Renewing_an_Apple_MDM_Push_Certificate

@isaaksutton Unless you have a particular reason to not reset this iPad, the easiest way to fix it will be to reset it and allow the iPad to complete the enrollment process.

@Noah_Salzman I've opened up a case with Apple Enterprise support as to what is occurring. I am still able to sync devices between ASM and Meraki but I am not able to sync Education information which is necessary to getting Apple Classroom working. Here is the response I got from Apple on Friday. Nathan, The issue is more thank likely related to the Classes API the MDM uses to sync the data from ASM. Typically, the MDM needs to work with the Apple’s Developer Technical Support team for issue with the Classes API integration and issues. Please let me know if there is anything I can help the investigation with Meraki.

Hopefully Meraki is working on a fix, otherwise things have gotten worse. I can see that Meraki is requesting the information, classes begin syncing and then error message.

Just a heads up @Noah_Salzman, I'm on the phone with support right now but something is broken in the process of updating the Education Configuration profile onto iPads. Meraki and ASM are syncing correctly but the sync is not triggering the Education Configuration profile to show as updated so the latest Apple Classroom settings are not being pushed to iPads. This is causing teachers to not see students, they are offline or missing or seeing students who are no longer in their classes. This had been working correctly that anytime there was a sync and new data was pulled the profile would show not up to date and trigger the update and this is no longer occurring.

@dmarmac Even though they are free apps, I would make sure to get VPP licenses for all these apps. I have found that this usually fixes any issues of asking for Apple IDs to download the app.

@STS-Madison Also, are you trying to purchase/download the apps through the App Store or push them automatically through Meraki. This has impact to the workflow as well.

I just wanted to see if anyone is experiencing this today. The iPad is being setup and checking into Meraki in the dashboard but the app is reporting the iPad is not enrolled. This is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE problem as new iPad setups are not able to download Apps from Meraki. Not enrolled Dashboard view I am getting ready to call support but wanting to see if others are experiencing this pain as well. @Noah_Salzman @Kevin_C
