Do I have to pay to attend ECMS2? ECMS2 will be offered by Cisco Learning Partners in the second half of calendar year 2020. Attendees will be required to pay to attend these sessions.

@Network-dad Have You seen anywhere, where it is possible to actually sign up for the ECMS2 ? At the meraki site you can only "Read more" .. not enlist .. 😫

@jdsilva I completely agree .. and quite acceptable and fair too!! But it is difficult to get a straight answer .. Even when confronted with the spec's of both the switch (for the SFP+ to be compliant with) and the SFP+ supplied .. Actually just confronted with the "accepted" usage of mm sfp's running sm for shorter distances ..

@BrechtSchamp 😁 That's not the case, but You are right .. I later today discovered a thread : https://community.meraki.com/t5/Switching/Best-Meraki-Compatible-SFP-transceiver-manufacture/m-p/21926#M1733 discussing alternatives .. They pretty much sum up my experience (especially the last ones) that if You pick carefully, it's the same game. It's true, it's all OEM'ed and if You choose the same vendor .. well .. quality does not seem to be that different. And at a 10th / even less of the price, a few spare's isn't a hazzle .. But 😉 It's all theoretical, U know ..

Hi all !! We have heard about (nooo.. not us, no way) about an installation where non-meraki/special SFP+ has been used to interconnect some Meraki switches .. Back in the days, rumours were, that when ie non-Cisco SFP's were detected in a classic Cisco environment, all support ceased even though it has absolutely nothing with the SFP's to do .. What do these fictional installers have to expect from the Meraki crew if ie they were to report RJ45 problems on these fictional switches ? - No worries: We have a look at it, if it turns out that the problem comes from the "special" sfp's we'll send an invoice - No way .. Call Your "Special" supplier for help with everything from now on - Take out the SFP's then we'll talk ? How about it ?

Hi .. No I found that one 🙂 I have a request for direct polling of the network devices.. Our friends in the industry provides packages for the devices for different monitoring systems, and I was hoping the same for our great Meraki stuff .. Hi .. Well that stuff I know .. 😀 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Op5_Monitor But since a number of the systems are monitored by OP5, it would be nice to have the packages for Meraki. We would hate to throw the hw selection into the arms of other vendors, just because we can't locate the system support in OP5..

@OmarAftab Hi .. we ordered the MS120-24-HW (no fancy numbers after -24) and got the fanless version .. All the doc's says the "No-Power" version is the fanless ones .. Only snake in the garden could be that the 48Port needs more power, hence a fan in the powersupply ? Maybe the Meraki HW Guru's can supply more enligthenment ?

@MeredithW @DarrenOC Well .. The multi-tier win chance .. Is that fair ? The prizes in the "heavy" level is already buffed up (The sox, man!! that would KILL the netguys at work), and usualy only dreamstuff for a regular user, which I consider me .. I get, that people doing a difference helping out should have special attention, since we all depend and appreciate these special kind people .. I also use any opportunity to show my appreciation and encourage these contributors ! They ARE heroes .. But from what I gather, these people already have treasures of this kind ? Why not spread the gold a little ? Or maybe increase the load in these intense times ? Btw. I didn't get an answer for the statistics of merch shipped to countries outside the US ?
