For other Cisco security devices (ASA / FTD) default ARP timeout is 5 minutes. I'd guess MX would behave like that too.

Talking about integration with MX, typically a Flow-based approach is the easisest choice. As @PhilipDAth already mentioned, there's Secure Network Analytics that handles this really well. Other products typically take another approach that "forces" you to install their appliances into your DC and connect them to Span ports and the like.

Please take a look at https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Site-to-site_VPN/Troubleshooting_Non-Meraki_Site-to-site_VPN_Peers#Cisco_Meraki_VPN_Settings_and_Requirements "Note: IKEv2 is only supported on Security Appliances that are running firmware version 15.12 or higher - if you do not see an option to configure it, please ensure your appliance is configured to run the appropriate version, and is not incompatible with the required release." So no, it doesn't seem possible.

The question is: are Syslog messages not sent out by MX or not received (or even processed) by your server? You'll find the answer by sniffing the traffic between MX and server.

Tried upgrading but for whatever reason, outbound web traffic was not possible anymore. Rolling back to 17.10(.1) solved the issue. I'll try again using another network and will investigate further. EDIT: Everything's running fine after another try.
