Yep, never liked this limitation with the inability to mix MX licenses. As previously pointed you can’t build auto-VPNs between different Orgs. You can however of course build old skool site to site VPNs. Might take some planning on how you build this one out. Or, if your Meraki is feeling generous they can seriously discount so you can get the same licenses across the board.

Hi @bluecat , as you’ve already stated, your safest bet here is to disconnect the WAN port. Or, is your ISP able to shut down their port connection to your MX? Then when done re-enable.

AFAIK Meraki license activation starts when the license is purchased, and the clock begins to count down when the license keys are received in email. Correct? - This is correct, once you receive the shipping notice the license is active However some deployments are staged & hence are accomplished couple of months later than the key purchase. What would happen in those cases? Can the lost period be reclaimed? - No, not possible. If you switch to PDL (per device license) then the license is active till applied in the dashboard

Hi @jtejadal , the licenses are none transferable so you’ll need to purchase a separate license for the new device. The only exception I’ve encountered is moving an Advanced Security license to Enterprise and vice versa

Hi @EJN , I’ve found the wireless pro one easier to work with. It shows me all active SSIDs in an area. What channels are in use. Also useful for hunting down APs in a building

I've recently downloaded and started using WiFi Explorer Pro 3: https://www.intuitibits.com/products/wifi-explorer-pro/ Pretty low cost and has been used to rectify a number of wireless issues for a hospitality customer.
