Hi all, I have got a template, where 200+ networks are bind to. In this template is an SSID secured by PSK. So all sites have got the same. Some staff is traveling around and already got to know the PSK. Is there a chance to block these MACs all over the binded networks? I don´t want to put in the mac in each network. (disabed wlan mac randomizer). Thanks, Regards Marc

Hi all, just have a question regarding to my network design for a new site... Will have a stack of two coreswitches (aggregationswitch), a few access switches and a several accesspoints. In the past, I made a network and put all devices into the same network. Now I´m thinking of making two networks... One for the corestack, the other for all switches and accesspoints. How do you guys do it or is there a best practice? Thinking of updating firmwares... in the network where I have all in one, I can only update everything... It may make sense to only (or step by step) update accessswitches (first). Thanks for your tips.

As written, it will be the root bridge in your network, means also for all known vlans on the switch. 🙂 Have a look into @Brash post bbelow as well: Meraki switches run RSTP. https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Port_and_VLAN_Configuration/Configuring_Spanning_Tree_on_Meraki_... They are interoperable with (but do not run) MST and PVST. The Vlan 1 requirement is if you connect a Meraki switch to a device that does PVST. The connecting device must have a PVST instance on vlan 1 in order for the Meraki switch to receive BPDU's. https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Deployment_Guides/Advanced_MS_Setup_Guide#PVST.2FPVST.2B

Yes, it can run RSTP: Switch -> Switch settings Will be the root for all vlans configured on it.

Support: This appears to match the behavior of a previously known issue that should have been resolved in the firmware version that the AP is currently running - with that in mind, I am going to collect some information on the backend and submit the information to the development team for further investigation/

Hey guys, bought new MT10. First one set up yesterday and was online a couple of minutes (not long enough to show a graph). Then it went offline and is offline since 17hours. MR42E with Firmware 28.6 in use. As far as I saw, RSSI must be under 85 to get a connection, which is the case: Already placed the MT directly next to a MR, no connection. Any idea?

Support: I have been discussing the case with the development team and they believe there are actually two separate issues at play here. One issue concerns the UI and how it handles the deletion of the policy and the other is regarding the firmware not removing the entries that we discussed on the phone. As these will be investigated by different engineering teams I need to raise a separate investigation for each issue

Use VLAN checkbox? Don´t know what you mean.... hit on "VLANs" maybe this is what you are searching? Or are you talking about VPN vlan / subnet ? Then you are in the wrong submenu.

Found this as well, maybe another help, Activedirecty domain: Download the TeamViewer EXE file from their website. Open your your Group Policy Management Console, and create a new GPO. In your GPO go to Software Restriction Polices found under User Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Software Restriction Policies. Right click and choose “New Software Restriction Policies”. Select “Browse” in the New Hash Rule popup window. Find the TeamViewer setup EXE and open it. Close those windows and link your new GPO to the domain and make it apply to everyone. Teamviewer Subnets seem to change a lot, and also saw a community post from them where they deleted all IPs which were posted 😮

We started to use MT sensors in our DCs and already changed our settings for our air-conditioning, as we saw it was often too cold most of the times. Absolutely useless before. 😉 Company planted hundrets of trees regarding to amands of building new buildings (everyone employee is owning a tree now) Also, we really started to turn of lights when, even at daytime in some areas if no one is there 😄 EDIT: Already saw some ideas which I will do as well, like power off ports in the night when they are not needed to be turned on, great!

If you mean, using Meraki Systems Manager, it is possible. Set credentials automaticaly is possible anyways and Bypass captive portal is iOS 10 or later. If you want to do it without an MDM it will not.

So, decided to open a case, and thats how the status is at the moment...: PROBLEMS DISCUSSED: + Client devices are showing up with 802.1x policy: unknown policy "iPSK Mobile" ------------------------ ACTIONS TAKEN: + Marc was using this group policy to test iPSK but this isn't suitable so he has deleted the group policy and set the SSID back to PSK which triggered the issue + We are using Marc's Android to test - xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx and xx.x.xx.x + The AP recognizes that there is no current policy entry for the deleted policy as expected + The AP however is still holding historic entries for the policy that the client was previously attached to which is causing the message on the client overview page + Confirmed that the group policy was created March 29th and then deleted on April 7th + Found that there appears to be a missing update on the backend process for April 7th when the policy was deleted + A reboot of the AP removes the historical logs from the AP and the client overview page also stops showing the 802.1x policy message ------------------------ NEXT STEPS: + Support to try and recreate the issue in a lab and consult with development team

Can confirm this. Lately I made an update on a couple of switches, after rebooting, they flashed white a couple of minutes, then went back to solid. @ABaker I would recommend to roll back as well and try again, if you still have this problem.
