Expanding Cloud Management with Device Configuration Mode to Cisco 9350 Smart Switches

What’s New: C9350 Support Expanded in March 2026

As of March 18, 2026, Cisco supports onboarding C9350 Smart Switches to the Meraki Dashboard through device configuration mode.

C9350 Smart Switch customers can now enjoy greater operational flexibility – choose from either Cloud Configuration for seamless dashboard-based management or Device Configuration for more advanced controls.

In Device Configuration Mode, users can:

  • View switch statistics
  • View configuration details and
  • Access troubleshooting tools

This reduces truck rolls – configurations can be viewed, edited, and managed via Cloud CLI directly from the dashboard. Traditional management methods via console port and SSH remain fully accessible, as configurations are performed locally on the device.

Why does Device Configuration Mode matter to Catalyst 9350 users?

The Cisco C9350 is a next-generation Smart Switch designed for enterprise campus access layer deployments. This release gives C9350 users the flexibility to choose the Configuration Mode that best suits their needs:

  • Cloud Configuration for simplified cloud operations using the dashboard UI OR
  • Device Configuration for advanced operational control with central monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
