We're excited to announce the upcoming General Availability of IOS XE 17.5.5 for cloud-managed switches, featuring new enhancements and optimizations focused on delivering a smoother, more reliable experience for users.     Why is the 17.15.5 release important? This marks a major milestone in our architectural transition to cloud management with IOS XE, unlocking many benefits for your cloud-managed Catalyst 9000 and Cisco C9000 Smart Switches, including faster boot and initialization performance, enhanced stability and the start of a new generation of capabilities we will deliver with faster speed.    What can you expect from the 17.15.5 release? The improvements in IOS XE 17.5.5 further enhance compatibility, performance, and overall user experience across a wide range of deployment scenarios and introduce the following new capabilities:     Expanded Meraki Regional Cloud Support: Cloud Management with IOS XE is now available in the Meraki India, China, and Canada regions, expanding support for organizations in these locations.  Uplink Auto-Configuration (UAC) Enhancements: Several improvements have been made to UAC ensuring a more reliable uplink interface selection and accurate management IP assignment.   Stability & Reliability Improvements: This release addresses a range of issues affecting dashboard connectivity, device configuration synchronization, stack stability, and cloud CLI functionality, resulting in a more resilient platform and more consistent operations.  Upgrade Time Optimizations: Numerous enhancements have been made to the IOS XE upgrade process, reducing upgrade times and minimizing downtime for a seamless firmware upgrade experience.  Other Key Improvements:  Uses gateway ARP probes instead of PING for connectivity checks.  Automatically reverts to the preferred uplink after successful ARP probe.  Always prioritizes the preferred uplink after a reboot.    What’s Next?  We encourage you to review the full release notes for additional details and let us know your experience after upgrading.
