Hm, @BlakeRichardson - I don't want to completely separate out Tips & Tricks, because wouldn't we then need a separate "Tips & Tricks" board for each product / technology area (security, switching, etc)?
I think the best option within the community platform is to use tags or labels. Probably labels are best because there are nice filters for labels (on the right side of each board's landing page), and also you can subscribe to labels. So, you could get an email update whenever someone posted, say, a new security-related tip.

Hi @BlakeRichardson -
Good idea! Unfortunately a radio button like that isn't part of the community platform we use, and we're trying to steer away from customizations. What we *can* do is set up Labels in each discussion board; topic posters can select if a particular thread is a "tip" (or some other better term) - see screenshot. Community members can then filter to see just the Tips. What do you think of this idea?
Cheers!

Hi @Uberseehandel -
Yah, non-admins aren't allowed to use "style" attributes - unfortunately, I can't lift this restriction. I am hoping someone more clever than me can figure out how to make the twitter icon display on the same line.
But, in the meantime - I'll update the example code to something that actually works!
Cheers!

Notice the section at the bottom of this post with my name & job role:
Caroline S | Community Manager, Cisco Meraki | @merakicaroline Found this helpful? Give me some Kudos! (click on the little up-arrow below)
That's my community signature. It shows up below each of my community posts. One neat thing about signatures is that when they're updated, they update across all of your posts.
How do I get a signature?
You can easily set up your own community signature.
Click on your name in the upper right, then "My Settings"
From the My Settings page: Personal > Personal Information
Fill in the Signature field and click Save.
Go check out one of the posts you've made and you'll see your signature at the bottom.
What should / shouldn't be in my signature?
Feel free to add your name, a link to your company and/or social links, and a small bit of personal or professional information. You can also politely request kudos. Any other links or text must respect our community guidelines and should not be used as advertisement. Feel free to reach out to me (via this thread or private message) if you need further clarification.
You can also use simple HTML tags (a, strong, br, span/div w/ a "class" attribute, etc); users at "Here to help" status or above get a bit more freedom with HTML tags/attributes.
I want a signature that looks just like yours!
I'm flattered! Here's the code (obviously, use your own name, role, and social link).

Here's how to do it!
Subscribe to a topic
Go to the topic you're interested in (example), then click the "⋮ Options" menu at the top.
From this menu, you can select either "RSS Feed" or "Subscribe" (for email notifications)
Subscribe to a board
Go to the board you're interested in (example), then click the "⋮ Options" menu at the top.
From this menu, you can select either "Subscribe" (for email notifications) or "Subscribe to RSS Feed"
Set subscription preferences
You can manage how frequently you receive email updates from your subscriptions:
From your name in the upper-right corner, click "My subscriptions"
Click the "Notification Settings" tab
Scroll down to the "Email Notifications" section and select your preferences
Now you'll never miss a message! 📬

Here's the full RSS feed of all posts: https://community.meraki.com/yuzje69629/rss/Community
You can also get them for a category (e.g. Product & Technology Discussions😞 https://community.meraki.com/yuzje69629/rss/Category?category.id=enterprise (category.id is whatever comes after the ct-p in the category's URL)
Or for an individual board (e.g. Security / SD-WAN😞 https://community.meraki.com/yuzje69629/rss/board?board.id=security (board.id is whatever comes after the bd-p in the board's URL)
(Don't ask me why "Community" and "Category" are capitalized in the RSS urls while "board" isn't. 😛 And, yes, the URLs are case-sensitive. I just checked.)
Cheers!

@Welles - hooray! Glad we finally resolved the gnome-sending saga to complete your collection.
The Epic Saga of Sending Welles a Gnome
by CarolineS
Once upon a time, there was a gnome. The gnome lived in a nice place called Meraki HQ.
One day, he decided to leave Meraki HQ to explore the IT forests in the Meraki Community.
A kindly man named @Welles found him. Welles was very excited to find him, because Welles already provided a comfortable home for several other gnomes.
The gnome wanted to go visit Welles in order to see his brothers. He asked the friendly lady at Meraki HQ to send him to Welles' desk.
However, the trip in the mail was rough. The gnome did not enjoy it!
Luckily, the gnome had a bit of backup at Meraki HQ, and again he was sent through the mail. This time, he was well-protected.
However - one of his brothers had snuck into the package! Clever MR gnome had made the trip instead!
Welles already had an MR gnome, and, while he was happy to provide a home for this new MR gnome, he really wanted a yellow switch gnome. So the lady back at Meraki HQ tried again.
This time, switch gnome arrived at Welles' desk unbroken. Hooray! Switch gnome loves his new home, and he is happy to be with his brothers just in time for the holidays!
The End.

Today marks the Meraki Community's 4-month birthday! When we launched on August 21, little did we know how quickly the community would grow or how fantastically helpful its members would be. We're so proud!
Some stats to share:
3,627 members have signed up
1,025 topics and 4,860 replies have been written
1 gnome has hidden
Our little community has gotten so big! Still just an infant though...
Happy Holidays, everyone!
