Hi guys, I have a very weird scenario and I can not get an explanation by myself. I want to isolate VLANs so I can block or allow the communication between VLANs. In my test scenario I made the following: My Computer: VLAN 1 My Handy: VLAN 2 I made a Firewall Rule ICMPv4 block from VLAN 1 to VLAN 2. Picture 1: The rule seems to work and the ICMPs are blocked. Picture 2: I allow the rule and the ICMP goes through. Picture 3: When I change the rule again, no more packets are blocked. Can please someone explain me, why it doesn't work anymore and how can I configure inter-VLAN Firewall. I know this document: https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Cross-Platform_Content/Using_Layer_3_Firewall_Rules But it seems to work only one time... Thanks and regards, Jonathan

It is still not clear to me what a VPN Tunnel is on the Meraki Dashboard. If I have a connection between 3 sites, 1 Hub, and 2 Spokes: On the Hub, I see 2 site-to-site peers and 16 VPN Participants. How many tunnels am I using, 2 or 16?

Hi team, I am checking the sizing principles of MX and I want to ask what "Maximum Site to Site VPN Tunnel Count" means. Does it refer directly to the site-to-site peers? Is it only important for the MX in hub mode? Hi team, we are in a POC phase with a new customer. They want to look on the firewalls logs, like who has tried to reach the ip "x" yesterday at time "y". Hi, it depends on... If a MS is connected on those LAN Ports I would definitely configure a Trunk Port (with Native: Management) instead an Access Port and allow all the VLANs there.

Hi Team, I have a problem to understand, how should I read the network topology. I have one MX and more MS all the MS are directly connected to the MX. Unfortunately in the topology I show more like cascade. It seems like the MS are connected to each other but this is wrong cause all are directly connected to the mx. I have check everything and could find something: When I check the port which is connected diretly to the MX I see in the CDP/LLDP list, that in top is not the MX listed. - Meraki MS225-48FP - SW01R / 49(Meraki MS225-48FP Cloud Managed PoE Switch)raw - MS225-48FP / 47(MS225-48FP)raw - Meraki MX95 - FW1 / 5(Meraki MX95 Cloud Managed Security Appliance)raw - MS225-24P / 23(MS225-24P)raw - MS120-8FP / 9(MS120-8FP)raw And this is the problem in the topology I see like this switch would be connected to the SW01 but this is wrong, it is directly connected to the FW1. Hi team, my customer ask me if it is possible to have a temporal voucher from meraki. For example: The receptionist should be able to create a voucher for temporal WLAN use (only for one hour for example). They do not want this users to manage the whole user list, so a embassador isn't an option. They also ask if would be possible to activate these Vouchers more times on a day. Regards, Jonathan

Hi team, we are trying to assign a Group Policy to a WLAN client. In the passt we assigned the client with the add client option and then chosing the group policy or just changed it manually. I am now trying to do that just adding the group policy on the VLAN (MX). The scenario is like: Client logged in to a SSID and get VLAN:4, it seems like the policy is assigned but I can not see the group policy assigned on the client list. To know if there is a policy applied I make a change (block www.youtube.com) but it still reachable from my client. Is there a time I need to wait, until the settings on the group policy are synchronised? So my questions are: Is it normal that when a Group Policy via VLAN is applied, I can not see it on the client list? If I make a change on the group policy, how long is needed to be applied on a logged client? Many thanks and regards, Jonathan

Hi Team, just made a telco with a customer and they through me some questions, which I couldn't answer, hope you can help me 🙂 WLAN-Guest. If we use Ambassador Accounts: What happen with the user, when the authorized time is expired? Will the automatic deleted or remain in Meraki as a User with the same username/psw until the Ambassador authorized the account again? WLAN-Company devices: They do not want to use PSK and only allow company devices to use WLAN. They do not have RADIUS Server and Group Policy manual change is also not an option. Is there any posibility maybe with certificates/Active Directory/ Azure...that only company devices are allowed to use WLAN? Many thanks and regards, Jonathan

Hi Team, I couldn't find anywhere...but for sure someone know if that is possible 🙂 My question is: Is it possible to give a user just content filtering permissions? The idea is that they should only be able to change the content filtering configuration but just this nothinelse. Read permissions is not a problem but change only Content Filtering page.
