It would also be nice if the Meraki could alert on switches (and firewalls!) with suddenly elevated temperatures before they reach whatever is considered 'critical'. So after testing this the factory reset is useless really because the old config downloads after you factory reset it and reconnected to a network. I had the device removed form my network and unclaimed and it still repopulated the old config after I factory and then reconnected to a network. The only way to remove the config is to create a dummy config and then removing it from the network. Using the reset button will is pointlet after that since it is going to reload the dummy config again. ... View more

Hi Rwiesmann. I have changed the management VLAN to 101 in the switch setting. It seems all good while doing the migration (getting the correct mgmt IP to connect to cloud), but not sure why yesterday it lets other DHCP that has configured on the core switch take over the static management IP configuration. Further to @GIdenJoe 's very valid point, lowering minimum bitrates can also affect the general user experience, simply by allowing some clients to connect at low rates;   such clients take up so much more airtime to send/receive their data - time that's not available for other clients on that channel.   This is particularly a problem if you have 'sticky clients', who insist on remaining with their current AP, even though they've moved nearer to a different one. ... Yes, as far as I can tell, the Middle School LAN is a single IP with a /22 on it. There's only 76 clients right now but kids are gone for the summer. Lots to think about in your second to last paragraph, and I've been getting ideas together in the last few days, but I'm far from proficient in all this. When you say "If the volume is that high" what would you call high? I need to find out how many devices will be online during the school year since I just started last week and am still not sure of the scale we're dealing with.
