We could never get it to work, so we left DNS and DHCP roles on our DC. Meraki handles DHCP on our Meraki network management subnets though.

After watching utilization reports regularly, the MX100s were being over utilized. Replaced with MX105s and all is well now.

It enrolls fine, but after a little while, even with no profile assigned, when you reboot the device it just hangs at the TC73 loading screen and never boots. You have to manually factory reset the device to boot again. Its running Android 11 with latest release.

We're testing a few Android devices with Meraki MDM for a Warehouse Management System implementation. Our Zebra TC73 devices won't boot after Meraki is loaded in Device Owner Mode - Android Enterprise via QR, and a profile is loaded. No other Android devices have issues. A Zebra support rep I'm working with said their devices are not compatible with Meraki MDM. Anyone have experience with this, or know of a way to get Zebras functional with Meraki?

We have two ISPs, I'd like to route our public WiFi SSID that is in Meraki Assigned NAT mode through WAN 2. How would I set that in the internet traffic flow preferences? I can't use 10.0.0.0/8 since that overlaps with our other internal subnets.

Am I misunderstanding the documentation then, because it seems to indicate you can use custom app in Google Play kiosk mode? Note: Custom APKs uploaded on Systems manager > Apps will appear under Google Play apps. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Profiles_and_Settings/Android_Kiosk_Mode_in_Systems_Manager The APK I'm trying to use was uploaded to System Manager > Apps.

Added a custom app APK to the app list. Trying to add it to Android Multi-App Kiosk Mode, app type Google Play Apps, but its not showing in the list. When I paste the Identifier into the kiosk app list, it doesn't add it when I click add. Documentation says custom apps should show in the Google Play Apps Kiosk mode. What am I missing to get the custom app to show in Multi-App Kiosk Mode?

So my next question is, am I missing something on Umbrella config here, or is this a bug in Meraki?

Ok I think we've narrowed down the problem. When using Umbrella integration on an SSID that uses Meraki DHCP, DNS registrations are not processed, and the local domain name is in the exclusions list. Name resolution does work though. If the SSID with Umbrella is using DHCP on the server, DNS registrations work.

They are on the same network. I originally used bridged, L3 roaming, VLAN tagged with same result, so was trying tunneled too.

Tunneled, layer 3 to the MX as the concentrator, VLAN tagged. I've also tried Bridged, L3 roaming, VLAN tagged with same results.

Yes, of course I've tried that. I know it doesn't make sense, yet its happening. Both wired and wireless clients are able to contact the DNS server and resolve names from it.

So the clients I'm testing previously used DHCP and DNS from the same Windows Server, and DHCP created their DNS records. Moved the same clients to the new subnet using Meraki DHCP, same DNS server, and I've manually removed their previous DNS records from the server. Wired clients will register a new DNS entry, but wireless clients on the same subnet will not register a new DNS entry. What would cause only the wireless clients to not be able to register? If I plug the wireless laptop into a network port configured with the newly configure subnet, it will register.

Testing a new subnet using Meraki for DHCP and existing Windows DNS server. Both wired and wireless clients connect fine to the new subnet, can communicate with the DNS server, resolve names, but clients on the new subnet cannot update their DNS record on the server. Wired clients will update if you manually delete the existing DNS entry. Wireless clients will not update at all, they get a dynamic update refusal code 5. I know Meraki DHCP doesn't support updating reverse lookup records, but why would I be having trouble with client updates to DNS host records?

But Umbrella settings have this: So does amp really need to be enabled on the MX?

If your MX has Umbrella protection enabled, is it bypassing the MX's Content Filtering rules, relying completely on Umbrella? Or is it still trying to process MX rules first followed by Umbrella rules? After testing it appears it is processing both still, MX first, then Umbrella, but looking for a confirmation. If that is the case, I'm guessing best practice would be to remove all MX rules? Also Umbrella would not be a replacement for AMP or ID&P, and those protections should remain enabled on the MX? Thanks

On 16.16 now, but still only seeing 250Mbps. Comcast confirmed it was set to 500 on their end. Any other thoughts? I've got an upgrade to 16.16.6 scheduled for tonight.

We have MX100s running 17.10.2 at our primary site, and just upgraded ComcastEDI from 100Mbps to 500Mbps. Only getting 250-300Mbps max throughput. Devices used for testing are whitelisted, uplink config set to 1Gbps, global bandwidth limit set to unlimited. Even disabled AMP and still same throughput. I would expect more with its 750Mbps max throughput rating. Any recommendations or is this the MX100's realistic max throughput? Thanks

Can disregard, we resolved the issue by moving the ias.xml file and allowing NPS to build a new config and reconfigured from scratch. Something in the old config was causing issues.

We were trying to implement NPS extension for MFA, but having issues so uninstalled NPS extension restarted NPS service and were back to normal VPN operation. After doing this again yesterday, VPN stops working and we are getting the below in logs. I removed and recreated the VPN settings in NPS with no change. It seems like our Meraki APs have a need to be randomly rebooted about once a quarter in our environment. No apparent issues on the dashboard, and they look like they are functioning properly, clients can connect, but they are just stuck, providing no network activity for clients. Send a reboot command, and voila, they start working again, connectivity restored. Doesn't appear to be model specific, I've seen it on MR33, MR36, MR42, and MR46E, all up to date on firmware. One or two cases, could just be a hiccup, but I'm seeing it more often than I would attribute to a random hiccup. Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this? And not that this is a permanent fix, but can you script a way to automatically reboot the APs on a schedule? Thanks
