Deploy vMX in Azure via Bicep

Hello There,   Has anyone successfully deployed a vMX in Azure using some form of automation from DevOps? I am examining how to achieve this using Bicep and the Dashboard API. Currently I am at a point where I have manually deployed a vMX to grab the ARM Template, ive converted this as much as possible to Bicep, and I am placing a deployment script in the Bicep in order to go to the Meraki API and retrieve the Authentication Token.   Why would I do this? It is a requirement from a client that all changes to their Azure Environment originate from DevOps and they want to use Bicep to achieve this.   Anyone run into any major challenges or issues? ... You will be able to reach the subnets that are advertised between the MX devices.   the relationship is between the MX devices, not between Organizations or Networks.   It might be easier to consider it just a site to site VPN with a third party. Take out that it is a Meraki, and it might be easier to think about it.   I think what you will end up with is   Site to Site VPN from Org A -> Org B Site to Site VPN from Org A -> Org C   Org B and C are not talking to each other. It sounds like you are looking for Site to Site VPN's, but between separate Organizations   https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Site-to-site_VPN/Configuring_Site-to-site_VPN_between_MX_Appliances_in_Different_Organizations   If however you are looking to run AutoVPN, a limitation of AutoVPN is that it happens inside of an Organization.   What is the relationship between yourselves and the other organizations? Is there a potential to bring all the equipment into a single organization but separate Networks? You could divide up Meraki Admins to only have access to specific Networks.   I suspect you will need Site to Site with Different Organizations, but let us know if there is more to it. ... View more

I had a trial MG21 and I was unable to get it to work with either Vodafone or Three sim card to be honest. However i was able to get a three sim card working in a Z3C, the gotcha being that you needed a cabled WAN to push the APN information to the cellular side.   So far using the MG21 as a replacement for the Huawei has been far too expensive an exercise, using C models has been easier. The Vodafone Huawei is poor, the Three one (B525?) can at least do DMZ. However watch out as i have had a lot of issues with DNS suddenly stopping until a reboot of the modem (on both providers). ... Digging this back up, but recently Meraki was named on an Azure Virtual WAN article https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/azure-virtual-wan-multiple-capabilities-and-new-partners-now-generally-available/   Is there any information from the Meraki side as to what we can do with this?   Edit: Just found this https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Deployment_Guides/Cisco_Meraki_MX_Branch_to_Azure_Virtual_WAN_Deployment_Guide   I see some serious points in this, first being IKEv2, second being a Beta firmware, 15.xx ... What version of IKE are you expecting to use on your tunnel? Is there any chance the Fortigate is looking for IKEv2 by default, and Meraki is only capable of IKEv1.   Are the two locations separate sites / clients?   This is likely to a difference in the encryption handling. Something like AES is showing but its 128 on one side and 256 on the other. ... View more

The MX68 with two MR33 or two MR20 is my "Covid 19 CEO At Home, wants WiFi in loads of places" solution of choice.   The inclusion of the PoE ports are a great idea, i would simply love if one on the MX67 had been PoE too. Im not a fan of the MX##W's as the WiFi options are not as comprehensive. ... View more

If you have an organization created and the licenses have expired, the only thing that isnt working are the physical devices. The settings and config are all still there in the Dashboard.    You should be able to clone this, or at least create a template from it.   On my own MSP dashboard i have created a Template Organization that I use to clone new Organizations from. The reason being that we use SAML Authentication and have it configured the once on the Template Organization. We have plenty of other settings for monitoring and alerting too. ... View more

It is likely to be some kind of firewalling. It would be a good opportunity to run and see the Packet Capture facility on your Meraki equipment and using it to diagnose in more detail   Are you doing any deeper security inspection? are you blocking any udp traffic? ... View more

One of my favourite features in the MR Access Points is when i display all my AP's on the dashboard, i can include the column for ETH1 LLDP   Is there a way to view LLDP or CDP neighbours on an MX device? IF not, consider this a wish! ... View more

That is exactly our situation. Our MSP portal was created by one Engineer, who has since moved on.   So our Sales Rep or the Shipping@ are the way to go, i will start there and see how i progress ... View more

Has anyone ever tried to update the email addresses that receive the Shipping Notifications?   Currently our Shipping Notifications are going to an address that is due to be retired.   I am currently at a loss to determine where this happens or where it can be changed as Meraki Support cannot tell me what to do on this and the distributor has assured us that they are in no way using the old email address.   So I believe that it is burred in the depths of the Sales-force system that Meraki uses, but no one seems to know how to get access to this.   Can anyone assist with this? ...
