The ICMP messages that you are seeing are part of the MX connection monitoring that it performs, https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Firewall_and_Traffic_Shaping/Connection_Monitoring_for_WAN_Failover. It’s also worth noting the point about the traffic flows and how they may stay pinned if you’ve had a recent failover to the WAN interface connected to the MG21.   You may want to contact support and see if there is any tuning they can perform on the WAN interface connected to the MG21 to reduce the polling interval for the connection monitoring. Something else they can do, which you may want to consider, is assign the Cellular Failover firewall rules to WAN2 on the MX so that you can use more restrictive rules for the traffic goes out the interface connected to the MG21, as opposed to the primary path. ... I thought a setting for Option 150 may of been be available in the web based Merak cloud managed AP page. I don't have local Meraki switches only AP's. I used a bridge mode setting in the Meraki cloud wireless AP website. The wireless IP phone then hits my wired network seeks out my DHCP server and with the Option 150 config pulls the phone config template via TFTP. I believe if I configure DHCP on a physical switch here it would also work. I will be testing that at another one of our sites.    Thanks,    Milty  ... View more

Hi Darren - Yes that's an idea.  Would prefer to keep all the kit at the various sites in the one network if possible.  Would also be a bit of an overhead going through all of the different orgs/networks.   It's only an inconvenience really so no big deal, just would be nice if there was a bit more granular control of the recipients for certain alerts.  ... Re: Is it possible to link devices from SFP to SFP+ ports?

To be upfront, I have not tried this. But based on how the devices work and how the hardware usually works in regards to SFP adapters, you have to match the SFP/SFP+ to the port it is installed in.  That said, you should be able to cable the fiber between the two and run at 1GB speeds, the lowest common denominator. ...
