Hey Team, I'm not part of the supply chain team, but I thought I'd share some thoughts around the topic. I understand how frustrating the situation is, and how difficult it is to manage expectations, plan and achieve the deadlines of certain projects. Stock levels are currently very fluid, as we distribute the available production, which I need to remind you is heavily impacted by the global and industry-wide chip shortages and a pandemic that has not yet subsided fully, across all the regions to fulfill as many orders as possible in as little time as possible. There's a lot of complexity behind the supply chain, that includes not only the production challenges, but also import and export ones; at times these are beyond our control and that can cause variations on due dates. I would continue to encourage you to stay closely in touch with our Sales team, who are closely informed about the evolving situation and can offer alternatives, where possible. Your success, is our success, and we are therefore all extremely keen to ensure all of the orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible. Once again, I completely empathise with the challenges everyone is facing and I would also take advantage to encourage everyone to remain respectful of each other in these Community spaces. Many thanks. Giac

I'm guessing EE have got IPv6 to IPv4 working properly then, which is good 👍

Hello, as the new firmware is in Beta and doesn't support some features like multicast over LAN, Could you please tell me, how long does it take to get a productive version of MX16.x Firmware? We need to run anyconnect on our devices but as long as the firmware Beta version is, we can not use it in the production world. Best Regards!

I was Leary on the word "personal" but looking it up, that does include business property. I couldn't find a better fit on Avalara so I think you nailed this one. Also, Avalara has done a good job on the search engine asking key questions to narrow down the choices. After I answered the questions, it highlighted SM020400. https://taxfoundation.org/tangible-personal-property-tax/

@Frankthetank wrote: So with this new licencing structure what exactly happens if you have 5 active devices on a network and 1 of those devices licence expire and the 30 day grace period runs out but all other devices on the network have current licenses? Will you shut all devices down in that organization? As a network administrator I recently had this happen due to a issue with a camera license and our entire Meraki network was taken offline due to 1 expired camera license which wasn't stated very clear that that would happen and is in my opinion ridiculous. @Frankthetank In co-termination, we do deactive/shutdoewn the entire organization, but in per-device licensing, only the device that has the license issue will be deactivated. You can read more here.

This was a cloud-based change, does not require any firmware changes.

Hey AlexG - I hope you are doing great! What USB modem are you using ? I am curious about the overall experience with the USB fail over you described. Check out the Skyus SC line - this should remove some of your challenges you have been facing https://www.inseego.com/iot-modems/

I've generally found creating a case through the portal first, then calling in with an existing ticket helps with my hold times, not sure if just by chance, or if since it is an existing case it gets higher priority. I did sit on hold for 45 minutes recently as noted here, was the longest I've ever had to wait, and of course, the flaky network issue I needed help with had long since passed.

@Matt-Ignite wrote: These look really good! As someone who's had no end of trouble trying to get a USB modem working with the MX64 devices (and ended up giving up because it just won't work here), having an integrated LTE modem is a real benefit. The downside is obviously the cost - the MX67C is twice the price of the MX64 by the looks of things. I'd pay a bit more for integrated LTE, but an extra $1000 is a tough sell to a customer when a USB dongle is only $50. On the official Documentation page for the new devices (https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/MX_Overviews_and_Specifications/MX67_and_MX68_Overview_and_Specifications), there's mention of being able to set a custom APN via the dashboard UI. I don't support there's any chance of getting this added to the MX64 devices as well? That would be a huge help when dealing with 4G failover. Cheers, Matt The MX67C in addition to having integrated LTE also has 2x firewall throughput so additional cost is reasonably justified. If still too steep for you/your customer have you tried the Inseego Skyus LTE device? It is "Meraki Certified" and the only device we deploy now because they have been rock solid for our clients that have purchased them.

@Uberseehandel wrote: @DAHG wrote: True to a certain degree. The manufacturer can't test all environments. Beta is supposed to be ~90% there. Nothing wrong with releasing Beta. Once a Beta release has been out for a while and no major bug reports are coming out, then you release a RC. A RC is supposed to be production ready code. That should attract more customers to load it. Wait a bit, if no bug reports come in, release it as Stable. Have you spent your entire life drinking the manufacturers' cola? I can't even begin to express how many ways what you say is wrong. But I guess you are used to it, and have no expectations of anything better. To be honest, software development has gone backwards over the last 40 years. No. I have actually spent a good portion of my life as a software developer. Complexity of the deployed environment has gone up. Thus the impossibility for a manufacturer to test every possible scenario. Heck, I spent time doing QA at IBM, we'd get bug reports on LANGUAGE specific version of the software. I'm not excusing the company. I do however live in the real world. I expect the software to work, I understand that no software beyond a "Hello World" program will have bugs. I expect the manufacturer to do due diligence in testing, hence Beta and RC releases. I also expect that at some point, software becomes RTM.

@sshort wrote: +1 for this thread I saw the "zero day" support for iOS 11 on the Meraki blog, so I was hopeful there would be a similar situation on Sept 25. If I have a Mac running Sierra, the config profiles continue to work after the machine is updated to 10.13, but I can confirm that doing a clean install of High Sierra does not allow enrollment in Systems Managers (either manually or through DEP). Reading through Apple's developer documentation on High Sierra I got excited for additional mdm support (escrow of FileVault keys and delayed sw updates) but it seems we'll have to wait 😞 Not sure what Meraki changed yesterday between attempt 1 and attempt 8 but 8th time was a charm. enrolling a MBA running macOS 10.13 worked for us. Its a sad state when I'm excited by something as simple as this. 😉
