  So working with AWS when I had the VPC peering in place the routes were good tcpdump showed the traffic hitting the VM and the VM sending the traffic back. What was noticed is the next hop was not identifying the VMX as the next hop causing the packets to drop. The fix for me was to place transit gateway in place and then configure the routes in the TG/ each VPC / and the vMX. As on this moment I have traffic processing through the vMX to my VM.    ... You're good @PhilipDAth. for me I never set the vMX DNS until I see the unit come up. This is my method doesn't make it right. Once it comes up I point DNS 2 to my internal DNS server and DNS 1 to an external server.    The tip I gave @JGrantB was due to an issue I ran into a few months back when I had DNS 3 set to 8.8.8.8 on the VNET. ... @Brennan_Martin Thanks for responding to this post, but like others have stated limiting the ports to 30W and marketing them as BT switches (even if it understands BT) feels a little less than premium, or not being honest with the customer. Cisco / Meraki has multiple APs that require more than 30W of power and if the admins pair those APs with this switch then that admin will not get the full function of that AP.  ... View more
