It took a little digging to find this but I found it. I have to enable bridge mode on the network. If I do, I can't use Meraki AP assigned (NAT mode) which relies on my DHCP servers and not on the Meraki equipment itself.

I have several networks setup as Meraki AP assigned (NAT mode). I absolutely love this feature. It lets me quickly deploy an Internet only network and everything is self contained in Meraki. I typically use this for visiting groups coming to our campus for short stays, kind of a quick, limited time, guest network. The only problem I run into is due to the client isolation feature, there's no way to print from this network. What are others doing to provide access to a wireless printer on a Meraki AP assigned network? Is there any way to allow sharing to one device as an exception or is there a cloud print service that would work?

So is the 12VDC line to power the camera like the PoE would? I'm having an issue with snow accumulating on the camera, especially overnight. I can address this by trying to add a shield around the mount but it's tricky....

Hi all, I'm installing my first MV73X camera and I'm a little confused as to the use of the 12V line. The 73X has the normal RJ45 line for power/data but it also has a 12V line that connects to a screw type connector marked 12VDC. Is the for additional heating of the unit in cold temps? The install guide doesn't seem to mention it.

I've been seeing a few reports from Air Marshal about a reoccurring endpoint. I've see others that are, because of the name, clearly known devices (like a Roku from a smart TV, or a printer looking to direct connect). There is one called "The Net" that keeps popping up. I think this is a wifi network from a neighboring house but I'm not sure. I've told my AP to contain the threat. Is there anything else I can do? Any way of making sure it's from a neighbor?

Are there any integrations between Meraki wireless and Cisco Firepower? I'm seeing traffic reports in Firepower but I can't see the client associated with the traffic, instead I see the IP of the access point.

That's interesting.... The TVOC rating is because it was only connected yesterday so I'm sure it will show up soon... Your screenshot doesn't show temp or humidity... Is it because you don't alert on those values?

Just installed my first sensor in our NOC and I'm getting a Fair indoor air quality. According to what I'm seeing, the ambient noise is high and the temperature is low.... Reading the info bubbles, this is based off OSHA guidelines based on an office space. Can this stuff be changed??? It's a NOC not an office.... It's loud because of servers and AC units and cold because it's supposed to me cold....

Hi all, Does anyone know what the End of Life date is for the Meraki MS120-8FP switches? I've done some searching on Meraki's site and I've seen the EoL list but I don't see an entry for the MS120-8FP or any MS120 switches. I remember seeing a date of 9/21/2025 but I still see these switches listed on the Meraki site so I think that date is incorrect.

So, as a test, I set the switch to a static address (same as the DHCP reservation) and I included the all the fields like the netmask, gateway, DNS and VLAN set to 181 but it doesn't seem to update the switch even though the settings page shows the config is up to date. It just seems the switch isn't taking any settings change. I can still successfully ping the switch so I know the switch is still up.

That's correct... The upstream switch is configured as native VLAN181. The one switch that isn't having issues is one I just deployed 2 weeks ago. The setting on the unaffected switch is the same as the affected ones on the 3750

Thanks for the reply Ryan... I changed the management VLAN in the switch settings page as you suggested. Now all my switches are giving that same error. Everything does seem to be functioning normally. Does it just take time for the error to clear?

I have 5 Meraki MS120-8 switches on my network. They are fed via a 2Gb uplink trunk from a Cisco 3750. The trunk is setup as switchport trunk native vlan 181 (181 is the management VLAN). When I installed the switches I left the management VLAN setting on the switch's config page blank and the switch adopted it as VLAN 1. The addressing on the switch is set to use DHCP and my DHCP server has a reservation to give it the correct address (which it has). Reading the documentation, Meraki switches don't do VTP domains so I should manually give it the correct VLAN number. When I manually assign VLAN 181 as the management VLAN I get this error... Should the switch's address not be in the same VLAN as the management VLAN?

Thank you Darren! That article is very helpful.... I decided to setup my remote office network dashboard as a copy of my current dashboard, edit the remote office dashboard to remove the primary office stuff, then try individually moving APs over from the current to the remote. This will minimize the impact on network availability while the AP changes from the current dashboard to the remote.

I've been working on cleaning up some aspect of my network. Currently I have one Meraki network dashboard that runs everything. My company has two sites and I would like to diversify the dashboard to have one network dashboard for each site. If I create a new network for the remote site would I copy the configuration from my current site and just add the correct devices from the main site to the new one? Is this process going to impact my networks that are already in production or does this only affect the dashboard?

Thanks Nolan... I did try moving to the 80Mhz range (as kYutobi suggested) as a test with some increase in speed... Not practical in production though... I work at college and we're supposed to get an onslaught of about 80 high school kids this weekend so I'm trying to setup to handle 80 kids with multiple devices doing all kinds of things...
