Just a couple of questions for you if you don't mind. 1. Is this install a single AP or multiple? 1.a If multiple can you verify if each AP does not have channel overlap. 2. Does this issue happen on multiple iPhones? 3. Did you turn band steering off or on? 4. What version of iOS are you on? 5. What channel widths do you have configured? Things to try 1. Turn wifi off and back on. 2. Renew IP address on test iPhone. 3. Forget the network and reconnect.

@hidden0 I can confirm that 1.1.1.100/#connection does work. Test method 1. Connect to an SSD that connects to switch in question 2. Manually set IP to 1.1.1.99 3. Navigate to 1.1.1.100

I just tested this same setup in my lab and found the following: Navigating to the IP of the router: Pass Navigating to the IP of the APs: Pass Navigating to the IP of the switch: Fail Attempted to reach all devices on a flat network along with a VLANed network. What I didn't test was having the switch and my laptop be the only devices in the network and browse to "my.meraki.com". If the FQDN method is used then the page may flip between the AP or the router which ever device answers first.

@Mak , I think there might be a bug when creating a new secured VLAN. For me I did the following and got the same result that you did. 1. Created a new wired VLAN enabling the secure network feature and DHCP server. 2. Created a new SSID. 3. Connect my laptop to the new SSID and attempted to pin across the VLANs. To verify my work I went to settings / Local Network Addressing / "Select the VLAN" / Edit / Configure VLAN. It was here that I saw that the Secure this network option was still disabled. Once I enabled the option and waited 2 minutes I was no longer able to cross VLANs.

@speakerfritz That is very interesting. Just out of curiosity what is the POE setting set to on your switch? Hardware / GS110-8P / See All Ports / "Port" / Settings / Advance Setting For me it is set to "on" and POE is pouring my APs and a POE phone without any issues.

Mak, I don't think the M-Go product supports being a Radius server at this time, but that is a feature I am sure you could request for future development. I am also including a link to the support documentation to help with some of the questions https://documentation.meraki.com/Go

POE switches are rated on their overall power budget, this is not a Meraki only practice. What you have to look for are description like POE, POE+, POE++, AT, AT/AF, AF/AF/BT.

@Mak That switch is a POE+ switch which mates it AT/AF. Meraki Go doesn't offer a BT switch. The max supported ratting for AT is 30watts, this may not work for the AP you want to connect. On a side note DANG that is a lot of power for an AP..... I had two APs that required BT power, but those APs supported up to 1500 clients and had three radios.

If you have another device on that network that can hand out DHCP (if needed) then you do the following: Assuming this is a M-Go full stack 1. Create the VLAN on the switch 2. Go to the uplink port on Hardware / GX20 / See All Ports / Select the switch uplink port)/ Settings / Advance Settings / Configure VLAN / Change Allowed VLANs from "all" to the VLANs you want to access the internet. If you don't have a full stack 1. Create the VLAN on your managed switch 2. Create DHCP pool on your switch or server of choice 3. Go to the uplink on you managed switch and remove the VLAN from that port From my time with M-Go I did not see a firewall rules section. So to be able to be able to create a rule that says source VLAN X with destination Internet doesn't look to be available at this time. If I am wrong I am interested to be pointed in the right direction of the GUI.

App or Portal / Network / Select the network / Device Hostname or MAC address It may help you at minimum to do a reserved IP, but for me I statically assign my infrastructure to avoid these types of issues. Another pro-tip is to create a management VLAN if you haven't done so already.

Ask: If someone could possible review the options in dark mode and tweak the contrast it would be helpful Work Around: Select a different theme to read options that were hard to read before.

@speakerfritz I look forward to seeing your findings. The one thing I hope is you give the unit a fair shot. It feels as if you're upset by the naming or the price point. In either case, I think Meraki will do right by the customer to ensure the unit can reach the 500 Mbps advertised rate on the box.

@hidden0 Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I hope you know my post wasn't meant to be a harsh review of this product, but just an honest review of why I wasn't able to replace multiple sites with company "U" products with the Meraki Go product. As @Dustin_Hollis stated there are other options available on the market and some of my customer were moved to Meraki proper, others were moved to Cisco SMB, and some are still with company "U". Let me take a moment to continue the discussion on the topics that were brought up in the prior post. VPN Support - Ipsec for a site-to-site connection would be enough for me, but I know others might bring up wireguard or even OpenVPN as options as well. For a client VPN OpenVPN or L2TP are options that should work for the majority of the customer base. While I have you're attention I would like to ask if it would be possible to be able to come up with a solution that could save some retailers, Meraki, and customers some time and possibly wasted product. The ability to configure a "test" or "demo" site in the app to see if Meraki Go is right for them. I say this as I see multiple posts on this forum, questions and reviews on Amazon, and other sources asking multiple pre-sales feature based questions. In some cases I have seen negative reviews posted due to the post-sales discovery. Which then leads to a return process and ultimately wasted product.

I wanted to take a moment to give some feedback on the Meraki Go product from a small business mindset. Most small business owners are not tech people at heart. They are people who had a dream or giving a service or providing a product so they went forth and started a business. I believe I understand the goal of Meraki Go which is to provide something easy to setup, cost friendly, yet leverage the name and success of the Meraki brand. This vision is sounds great, but right now it levels a few gaps that doesn't play well for best practices and helping the unknowing business owner. 1. Guided VLAN support. This gap is caused due to the limitations with VLANs still within in the product. As pointed out in my make a wish post the owner wouldn't know about setting up a PCI compliant network until after they have an issue or fail an adit. Guest wifi should always be on its own VLAN (IMO), and VOIP should have its own VLAN with QOS assigned to it. 2. Guest Wifi enhancement To tag along with my comment above, the lack of assigning a VLAN to the guest network doesn't sit well with me or follow any best practice that I have been a part of. 3. VPN support The gap here is there is no built in VPN support either client or site to site. This for me is huge as consumer grade routers have the ability to support this feature but it is missing from this platform. One more thing True phone support even if it's paid for should be an option for a business owner. In a real crunch having someone waiting days vs minutes or hours for support doesn't fit well for the small business owner. I've did install for all types of business sizes, and I can say the loudest customer base were the ultra small and the very large. I am not saying the platform is bad or even that I won't revisit this later on, but at the current time (for me) this product needs a little more time to bake.
