Hello @JeffryP We do not have a feature on Meraki Go that directly allows load balancing between 2 GX20s. You would need a form of active-active warm spare on the GX20, which is something Cisco Meraki does not currently support (be it Enterprise or Go).

Thank you for reaching out directly, as directed by the app, @tech9 . I believe we managed to get you all sorted out? Let us know with a reply if you still face any issues.

Hi @tech9 There are numerous variables in play here, and I'm not sure what method you used to test your speed. Can you give us any more details here? How did you connect to the GX20 to perform the test? Were you directly connected? What speed test did you use? Did you test the speed to the GX20 directly using the local status page with the built-in speed test? Were other users connected and using the internet at the time of the speed test? Even background applications when computers are turned on and nobody using them can send/receive network traffic. The field is a bit wide to explain why you aren't reaching 250 Mbps.

Hi @ehsan230564 My apologies for the delayed answer. The transmit power is, by default, automatically set using the Meraki auto power algorithm. This algorithm attempts to find the best operating wireless channel for client devices. Changes to transmit power and channel can be performed manually from within the mobile app. The coverage area for the GR10 is approximately 500 square feet, but your mileage may vary depending on the environment. The same antennas are in the GR60, given similar propagation and distance properties. Datasheets for each access point can be found here: https://documentation.meraki.com/Go/Meraki_Go_Indoor_WiFi_Access_Point_-_GR10_Datasheet https://documentation.meraki.com/Go/Meraki_Go_Outdoor_WiFi_Access_Point_-_GR60_Datasheet

Glad to hear its all working @ZPaul For you and anyone else coming along to find this post, I'd like to offer a few more details about the issue. On rare occasion, the linkage of the subscription in our database needs a manual interaction to be completed. Opening a support case is the correct path of action to take. Be sure to log into the Meraki Go mobile app, and open a support case from the settings menu. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have for the minority of users facing this problem. Our team is working to ensure all future license applications are performed seamlessly.

That sounds pretty flaky, still. I'd run a ping against the wired access points to see if there is any loss to them. This behavior is similar to what I see using my power inline ethernet adapters. Constant flapping that, I'm assuming, fluctuates with the house electrical noise. That is sometimes a trade off we take to get coverage is some places. The end user experience may actually not be that bad even with a bit of loss or a sub par physical medium to operate on. How does it work?

Hey @RussellS For the time being, please open a support case if you'd like to upgrade the firmware. Upgrades are going to be soon scheduled on multiple products, but we want to be sure the right tooling is in place to alert end users of upcoming software updates on the equipment.

What a fun read 🙂 glad the mystery has been solved! Who would have thought an nmap scan would cause a printer to spit out garbage 😄

@Davepgh We'd be happy to work on this for the Go audience! We're seeing quite a bit of popular demand, so we'll begin scoping out the work to include WPA3 as time permits.

They should have just included a PoE injector in the box instead of a short power adapter. I haven't seen a single access point in a few years that's even close to a power socket.

Hey @Dawlat_naseredd Meraki Go doesn't have required licensing. I think you meant to post in the enterprise forums https://community.meraki.com/

Thanks for the reply! And also your patience on waiting for my thanks - got a little hectic. I have not opened a support case as I thought it was my screw up, but I will if the issue persists. I thought the same thing at first! But when looking at the gaming device, it seemed to be 'one or the other' and took priority to the wired network. Going to review the white paper on the VLAN to see what I missed, it did seem EXTREMELY simple to initiate so I don't want to waste tech time from not following instructions to a T. If I discover anything that confirms or denies my peril, here, I'll be sure to update to possible help another user who faces the same.

Hello @MoRo My apologies for the delayed reply. You can set multiple usage limits per network. When on the Usage Limits screen, where should see your current application rule, press the + button to add a new rule specifically to that network.

Hey @LouisN5 , This is a known issue we're working to correct, and thank you for bringing attention to the problem to raise awareness. When mesh mode is active, the device lacks a management IP. This causes the alert that you see to be shown inappropriately, which is doing a check against the assigned IP address. We'll sort it out shortly!

I'm sorry to hear that. For what it is worth, the information provided does lead us to some final clues @Marian2020. You have known working wired ports. Does the WAP still face problems if you use a known working wired port (swap the laptop's working connection by disconnecting it and plugging in the WAP on the same port)? If the problem persists after this, replacing the cable with a known working cable is the next step. Finally, if all the above steps do not achieve success, you may have a faulty or damaged unit.

Hey @phidlipus The app itself was facing some instability loading data on version 2.31.0 that may have had some lingering effects post upgrade to v 2.32.1 which were resolved with the login/logout. Thank you for posting this. For anyone else facing problems, please remember the app itself is built primarily off of GET requests to our backend to fill data in the app. A pull to refresh or logging out and back in provides the app a fresh opportunity to download data if it failed for any reason before.

Yes, I'm getting alerts that the "hardware in your network has become unreachable." I'm not sure if this is an issue with the DSL connection or the device. I'll contact the ISP for the DSL and see if they have record of my connection going offline. Thanks

Hello @Cambium I'm terribly sorry to hear about that delayed email response. If you are still waiting, sometimes a "Forgot password" or password reset action will kick it loose. It is also worth checking your spam or junk mail folders for the email, as it can get caught up in there from time to time.

Hello @BjohnsonSTL That is a great question! There is nothing stopping you from connecting any of the Meraki Go switches on any ports. You can connect the two 48 port switches via the SFP ports and leverage all 96 available ethernet ports for client devices. To be clear, though, the Go switch line does not support what the industry commonly refers to as switch stacking or VSS. Each of the two switches will handle STP and their configurations individually.

Hello @mbraden The Meraki Go app only control Meraki Go hardware (such as the GX20, GR access points, and GS switches). While your existing network hardware will indeed work, it must be Meraki Go hardware to fully take advantage of configuration within the app. Unfortunately you cannot plug in your existing hardware into the app to manage it.

Hello @Mansoor123 The CMNO is an enterprise related item. You can find the enterprise community forum by clicking here. From what I can tell the CMNO will not count towards an ECMS 1 or ECMS 2, but I would certainly ask your question in the appropriate venue to be sure.
