I will definitely take a look!   In regards to the WiFi profile, I agree - I usually push profiles separately to devices and don't combine them into a "mega" like profile. This always makes it easier to exclude a device from the scope. The only way (easily) I could think of fixing that problem where the WiFi profile comes after is to push them as a pair inside one profile. The other option would be to use a policy that sees if the Systems Manager app is installed and then trigger it to install when the device is compliant with that (the systems manager app always deploys after the profiles).     ... @discoveranother   For your second question - it sounds like you are referring to the Restrictions on the Settings page. Is that right?   Under "Cross Platform Restrictions", deselecting "Allow installing apps" will turn off the user's and SM's ability to install applications.      The more popular option would be to use the restriction under "ios restrictions (supervised)" to deselect "Allow App Store".  This works for supervised devices on ios 9 and above and will still allow you to push apps and updates through SM 🙂       ... By way of introducing an element of future proofing, I run Cat 6A cable ( 10GBASE-T up to 100 metres). It is noticeably stiffer than Cat 6 and requires a larger turning radius, which took some unexpected implementation adjustments, which may render the contractor's objections to 3-inch conduits nugatory.   Virtually all WAP vendors advertise fictional speed/capacity specifications. They have a system for calculating it. They calculate the maximum simplex speed for each radio under ideal and theoretical laboratory conditions (WiFi is Simplex) and then add the values together. However, the link between the AP and the switch is Ethernet full duplex. Then when you make adjustments for real world conditions you tend to find that a WAP rated at a 2.53 gbps radio rate is not limited by a 1 Gbps link in the real world.   Having had to audit the December 2016 ITU conference report,  I would be overly concerned about 5 GHz use by WiFi; access to that part of the spectrum is sought by a lot of industry sectors and special interest groups, I look forward to obtaining uncontested access to the 60GHz portion of the spectrum. The Koreans and the Japanese are making huge advances in overcming distance limitations. We are probably just as much overdue for a switch from copper to fibre as we are changing from IPv4 to v6. ... The app lives in the menu bar, and has a lot of customizable options, including a self-service section. @RoboTech That is about my list. I did hear they were breaking JDS support, I am also active on Jamf Nation and there were some mixed responses to that one.    I have noticed that Meraki has been getting better with supporting the new MDM features. One of the things I loved about Jamf was the smart groups, but most of the things I was doing could be covered by policies within dashboard. Similar to you, I really want Meraki to support the asset tag configuration profile and name enforcement at check-in. Luckily, these features have been discussed a lot on here (especially the naming/asset tagging) and I wouldn't be surprised if they start rolling these features out.    I would love to have Jamf, but in my opinion their cost is inflated for iOS management and that JumpStart add on is ridiculous. When we did try version 9, I did not think it was as near polished as an interface as Meraki, but 10 seemed to fix that. Hopefully I can get Jamf soon, but Meraki seems to be catching up. ... @BlakeRichardson Ah, but this is where the plot thickens...   You can pre-apply tags to DEP devices before they are enrolled. This can be done at the same time you apply the Core DEP profile settings.   (However if you are taking the Apple COnfigurator 2.5 / iOS11 manual enrolment route you will need to do this after the device shows up on the list.)   Thank you, Peter James   ...
