I just noticed it being pulled aswell. I was just about to schedule my 9166 to upgrade to it. 😅 I upgraded a customers (single) 9164 without problems though. What made the 9166 break on R31.1.5 ?

And that is entirely true. I'm pretty annoyed that I can't use UNII1 channels where I've put this Mesh, as it is going across a harbour, so I'm getting DFS events on all channels that the MR76 is using.

What is the subnet mask for your 10.129.5.2-127 range? You can’t mix 10.129.5.0/24 and 10.129.5.128/25.

Do you have a Meraki MX as well? In RADIUS the Meraki APs are the Authenticators, so when a wireless supplicant connects to an SSID all RADIUS is sourced from the Meraki management ip address. So these are the ones that should be added as NADs to NPS. However, if the SSID is set as a Concentrator, all RADIUS will be sourced from the MX. Could that be why it is the MX up that is added as a NAD in NPS?

What DNS do the guest users use? What's being assigned by the DHCP server? Is this location by any chance in Europe, specifically France or Spain? What L7 rules are being applied to the Guest Users?

Do be aware though, that those channels are DFS channels, and thus you may be subjected to frequent DFS events. It might not be relevant in a metropolitan setting, but if you're going to need the wireless link near an airport or harbour/ferryline, you'll might get a lots of events.

I've done this using MR76 with MA-ANT-21/23 sector antennas, so it should be possible. Although I had to turn enable lower MCS rates, inorder to keep a somewhat stable connection. I'd recommend reaching out to your sales rep, and and working with him/her by getting a trial setup first, to do a PoC, before purchase.

😉 Try changing the allow list on a catalyst trunk port. It'll complain no matter what you do, if you try of expand the list to other vlans thant 1-1000. Even if you change to 1-900,1010-1110. You'll need to change the list to a low range e.g. 1-10, apply it, and then add the new range og 1-900,1010-1110.

An MX with Wireless capability can not act as a mesh gateway, or contribute to Wireless Mesh in any other way.

If you connect a console, you should be able to see the boot sequence, and see if it’s booting in Meraki or Catalyst persona. If it’s in Catalyst persona you should see a CAPWAP discovery process. If you do, you’ll need to convert it to Meraki persona.

Set BPDU Guard on the switch ports. If BPDUs are seen on the port, which usually stem from other switches, RSTP blocks the port. That way you can make sure, no one connects any unmanaged switches to your network.

The Emoji SSID, is in WPA3 Transition, but doesn't show up when in 6 Ghz only. If I enable it on 5 GHz aswell is shows up. Disabinling 5 GHz again, but changing it to WPA3 only, makes it show up on 6GHz only.

This core is a stack of two Catalyst 9300s. Besides ports 24 on each member which connects to the active and standby MX respectively, there's only on port connected to a MS225 further down - port 1 to 1 on the MS. On that MS switch there is only one Ap connected, and there are no wireless clients at all. So there really isn't many devices to remove and test with. But great suggestion though!
