@CESI Is the DHCP server directly connected to VLAN 100 or is there a DHCP helper entry on the routed interface/default gateway of VLAN 100 pointing at the DHCP server?

From on comment I saw elsewhere I think that you will have to buy the client licenses, but not sure how it would be enforced, might use a trust model.

The other thing to remember is that no transceivers send power over the copper link (I am sure you would know that, but just in case!).

@GFrazier as far as I know Cisco don't officially support any 1Gb+ copper transceivers but we do use a couple in Cisco 3850s. I haven't tried them in MS225s that we have at that site but will aim to the next time I am there. I suspect they will work...

@GFrazier we recently installed three MS355X-48 switches at one of our locations for this and hooking up to a blade chassis. The switches have: 32x 10/100Mb/1Gb copper ports 16x 1/2.5/5/10Gb copper ports ideal for APs and high end PCs or even servers. 4x 1/10Gb SFP+ ports ideal for servers 2x 40Gb QSFP+ ports ideal for connectivity to other switches 2x 100Gb QSFP28 ports for stacking They also support dual load balanced PSU, UPoE (60W) etc. I wish there was a 355X with more 10Gb SFP+ ports as they could then be part of the same high bandwidth stack rather than being limited to the QSFP+ connections

@DHAnderson I've upgraded switches with static and DHCP management interface IPs, some on default VLAN and some not (the ones that are not were all on DHCP). But none were MS125s, I wonder if the issue applies to them?

I just upgraded another site with MS120s, 210s, 220s and 225s from 14.12 to 14.16. No issues like you experienced @CharlieCrackle

I upgraded a stack of three MS210s to 14.16 three weeks ago and didn't have any issues. Their management interfaces are set using DHCP, are you using static IPs for management?

@swifty the only flow that we have seen interrupted is RTSP camera feeds where the client has to refresh the view after the failover.

It is fixed now, now is within a few minutes. If you schedule it is a bit after the hour for the first and then the usual delay for the second.
