Sorry if I don´t get it, but as in my last post: Can you explain which settings these are on this screenshot? I know something in the DB, but what exactly? I would have thought you just have the DB, connected the MX to one of the LAN ports of DB - forwarded 500/4500 to the MX (Lan Port or IP). And another time, what about the packetcaptures on MX regarding to the ports 500/4500 as @ww mentioned. Network Wide - packet capture Instead of wireshark you can view the output below as well.

As you mentioned all works fine so far - means your MX is online and connected to the meraki cloud, correct? So it seems like you are connected correctly. Ok, was just a thought... Think you would be able to configure a lancom with the same seetings and replace it when no one is working or due to a emergency downtime. Thats how I would do it. What about to test the MX behind another Router? LTE as mentioned, for example? What about the packet captures? Maybe the DB is faulty? I remember I used a DB a couple of years ago as well and all worked fine, even without port forwarding. Or maybe any outgoing ports blocked?

Sounds like one device and two VPN tunnels (?). Yes, it is possible.

As it seems to be very hard with the DB, did you try to use a lancom for example? Does your VPN work in general? I mean, did you try to establish a IPSec connection, when you use the MX behind a LTE Router for example? Just as a test. Did the mentioned captures help you?

This is what I understand, too. But I assumed a client won´t be even able to connect to the SSID. Thats very misleading. Altough the client seem to have a wifi connection (well, it has, but no internet connection) My goal is to deny to connect to a specific ssid.

Now, also got this mail from Support... I thought, if someone is blocked, he is not able to connect. But he/she is... Only can´t reach any resources... Can anyone confirm this? @BrandonS

Have got a open ticket as well, no answer since monday. Updated from "low" to "medium" now After 15 minutes waiting on the phone, it got too silly and hung up, for now.

Does it mean it will only be blocked for internet access, not for connecting to the specific SSID?

Hi, just wanted to block two devices from a single ssid and did that as following: Directly after doing this, policy is showing "custom", couple of seconds later its showing blocked. Over night, the devices were disconnected and I came back today, checked the dashboard and these devices are still in the forbidden SSIDs... Policy column still shows "blocked", but when I select the devices and click on policy it shows following: Within devices detail page it is showing this (like in this threat😞 So, for me it looks like this option does not work(?). Furthermore at least one device should connect to a different SSID now, but it is not - like it is blocked for wifi in general.

PSK PW change can be done through API. I´m not into API, but surely this can be done automatically from a server always with a new generated password. Don´t know if your prefered solution is possible.

Any FW-Rule blocking something? Made the correct local subnet on MX site? PFS disabled? Correct public IPs? ISP Router maybe needs to forward udp-4500 / 500 ? Whats the logging showing, where it has its problem to get up the VPN Tunnel?

They´ll all in one cabinet, directly under each other. Yeah, that´s what I was thinking about, too. a single stack is a single point of failure for all. Having two stacks, it is more likely not all loose their connection if something goes wrong. - depending on the cabling. If the fibre panel/cable to Core is broken, still all are offline, as in this case the cabling to core is not redundant.

Hi all, I´ll need to get some more switches (5x 48p) and need to stack. What is the best practise on this with Meraki? - one stack with five switches - two stacks, two and three switches I know it can be up to eight, but only have done 2-3 switches in a stack so far. Only a single stack would mean less SFP+... Regards Marc
