issue regarding language support for Syslog event

Hi there,

I'm gearing up for an application that will be gathering Syslog events.
Our network has a couple of MR names in local language aside from English.
In my case, the language is Korean.

But we can't get the MR name in Korean from Syslog event messages.
Almost the name is replaced by _ .

For example,
1) 대회의실_AP is a real name.
2) __AP is the name that we've gotten form Syslog event.

How can I clear up this issue? Is there anyone who knows how to iron it out?

Re: issue regarding language support for Syslog event

It sounds like there's something in the application flow that is ASCII only and doesn't support unicode.

You could contact support and see if they'll submit a bug for it.

I think other applications also happen the same issue.
These following lines were retrieved from vapp syslog collector.

Other applications also happened the same result.
