Hi, We have the below switches in the topology. The access switches connect to the Core switch using Agg ports. Core Switch (Stack of 4) 3 - MS225-48 & 1- MS225-48FP 3 access switches - MS125-48FP & MS120-8 All switches are running on firmware 15.22 Core switch STP bridge priority is set at 8192 & other access switches are on default value 32768. Recently, there was a power outage at site & 3 access switches were on raw power. The switches went down & came back up but they started behaving weird with DNS errors, unable to fetch configuration, devices showing Red on Dashboard etc. In the event logs there were just MAC address flapping logs so we thought the there is a loop causing the network to fluctuate. Case raised with TAC & they initially suspected loop but later requested to power off/on the switches & reset one of the switches. Once we did that one switch started functioning properly. But other switches were still in the same state & hence TAC raised RMA. Now, the strange part - The 2 switches that weren't coming UP (Now RMA'd) suddenly turned green after almost 5-6 hours & are performing well. We will replace those switches anyway. My understanding is the power issue caused a communication issue between switches and Core stack or may be there was a glitch that got cleared but i am unable to understand why the switches came UP after 5-6 hours. Has anyone faced this issue & can help me understand this problem. Do i need to validate a few settings ? Thanks!

Test 1 If I'm roaming with more than one AP the device will never authenticate. What is the "SSID mode" for Client IP Assignment ? If its "Meraki NAT mode" please note that each AP will NAT to its own management IP address. As a result, connections will drop and have to be re-established. The performance can be enhanced if “Bridge mode – External DHCP Server assigned” is selected in the SSID profile as Bridging gives the best roaming experience. Additionally, Enabling 802.11r (this option is available when you opt for Bridge mode) technology reduces overhead when a client roams from one AP to another, delivering a more seamless transition Test 2 Create a new test SSID for the device in question to use 2.4GHz only. Go to Radio Settings - RF profiles - Basic Indoor Profile - Edit Set the min bitrate to 6 & disable the 802.11ax only on "2.4 Ghz" radio setting Test 3 Factory reset device Place device back into network Still issue persists get it RMA'd

Hi Community, Recently high bandwidth consumption on WAN was reported & i was provided a list of DCs & AP (MRs) that were seen downloading & uploading data. This was captured on the gateway (L3/FW) which is managed by a different vendor. I'd like to know is there a way at the AP level where i could find the destination traffic & what is consuming so much bandwidth. Any suggestions where i can start or anyone has tshoot this, any services running that could utilize BW? Thanks!

The issue was with the device certificate & it also needed persistent TCP connection to their Server which was somehow blocked by the FW. This is rectified now. Thank you!

So, unfortunately no one is available at site to help with forgetting the old SSID on the device & connecting to the newly configured one. I will have an update hopefully on Monday. Lets hope that the device gets connected & is stable. Thanks for helping me out this far. Appreciate it.

Tried creating one with similar setting but the device disconnects after 40-50 secs which is weird. i will try to change the add additional DNS server as well.

Thanks! Will try changing the setting "allow non http traffic prior to sign on" & check. However, this device is connecting to guest SSID & disabling the option will allow direct Internet access to guest machines. Any suggestions what can be done ?

Hi, This Wireless meeting room device cannot connect to the Meraki Guest SSID network. The only change that was done - switch the client IP assignment from Local LAN to Meraki DHCP on Guest SSID. Tried connecting the Device to hotspot & it connects so no issues with the Room display device. Not sure if any changes are to be made in the below settings

Here goes.. After the upgrade, observed this alert/error "unable to fetch configuration" & the Firmware status said "Up to date Current version: Not running configured version" Gave the switch sometime to see if the alert/error goes away automatically as described in the Meraki Document & it didnt. Then, after 15 mins rebooted the Switch & still there was no change. Raised a case with Support They went through backend troubleshooting to review the whole issue. From backend logs, they were able to determine that a component used by the MS120 to perform firmware upgrades has failed to function as expected. As a result, the device was not able to successfully pull new configurations from the Meraki dashboard - unable to update any of its configuration settings. . Support also tried to employ a workaround to the issue, but that failed too. At this stage, support said they would initiate RMA.
