You should be able to set up the users with access to certain cameras and/or feeds, so that they can log in and access the Vision Portal and leave it up. I know this is 4+ years after you posted this, and you may already know this, but there was some problem that was just resolved in ver. 1.22.1 of the Vision Portal that was either still a problem causing idle timeouts, or had been previously fixed, then returned as problem -- https://documentation.meraki.com/MV/Viewing_Video/Meraki_Vision_Portal_Changelog

Was there any definite solution that was determined for this issue? After setting up some Meraki cameras for one of my locations, and attempting to just use the Vision portal on a computer to have cameras simply display their feeds via one of the video walls we had created for the site, we found that the Organization timeout period was causing the account that was being used to sign in and view those video walls was automatically signing the account out when the timeout period was met, since the computer was not actively being used for anything other than displaying the camera feeds. We found out about Meraki Display and the use of an Apple TV, so we purchased the licensing for Display, along with an Apple TV and set it all up. While at first it seemed to be a solution, my users at the site are finding that the problem seems to remain. Although it is not going by the Organization timeout, the cameras do appear to "freeze" after about a day. When you try to back out, then select the same or a different video wall, we are being presented with the "error fetching video wall session is not authenticated" message, and being forced to sign in once again, despite the literature on Display indicating that a re-authentication for the account being used should only be necessary once every 30 days.

Hello @RaphaelL, I will take back my previous response, as it does not seem we are compliant with RFC 5798 as you correctly pointed out. Thanks for that! Implementation of VRRP for HA is limited within MX product models and we don't use it for communication with another vendor for VRRP. We are not claiming that we are VRRP compliant, we just provide HA for MX and MS with our implementation. Apologies for the error everyone, I have added the feedback to the documentation already as stated earlier.

Just so you and others are aware that having green ticks in meraki and no errors on the DC doesnt necessarily mean its working. Are users being picked up in event logs area and are group policy based rules hitting those users correctly as per whatever setup you have? Doesnt appear to be universally fixed in my environment with all green etc, still have broken MX boxes not pulling user data and applying group policies as they should.
