Has anyone configured an MX device and Rapid7 IDR to collect syslogs? I am having issues getting the MX to send the logs.

Is there a way to disable the timeout for select users or networks in an organization? We have users who only have access to the cameras network in our organization and they would like to leave the page up throughout the day without being logged out (the page is open and up on a second monitor). I do not want to disable the timeout for the whole org…

I see it as more of an issue with distance from a switch. Wireless can extend your reach to an area that is over 100m and has power readily available (not different than an AP in mesh mode).

Is there a way to give a user full access (not just View & Export) to cameras with in a network without giving them admin access to the switches and wireless?

Dose your admin account have MFA enabled? If yes try creating a test account without MFA. If no try removing the system manager requirement just for testing, also changing your DNS nameservers to "Specify nameservers..." with your internal DNS server.

Did you find a work-around on the device limitation? Public Static with Pass-thru or using Bridged Mode? A dynamic IP should not be an issue. You will just need to make sure you update your VPN client config whenever the IP changes. I have had issues with doing port forwarding on modems... Your best bet is bridged mode and let the MX do its job.

I like the Meraki MX but I am coming from a WatchGuard device that gives a detailed view of what is happening with the traffic. If you could capture something like that it would be great. I attached an example.

It would be nice to have a drill down to see what is hitting each firewall rule. Currently you can see the number of hits but no drill down to see the detail behind.
