@KarstenI 3) I clicked on the core switch and its listed in the Summary tab. The RSTP ROOT has the other switch listed with a higher bridge priority. I then clicked on that switch and noticed RSTP ROOT has the value "This switch".

Hello, I'm having issues with getting a specific switch/stack as the RSTP ROOT in a network despite it having a lowest Bridge Priority. I've the core stack (comprises 2 x MS210-24P) with Bridge Priority 4096 I've the "master" switch of a stack (MS210-48P) with Bridge Priority 16384 The rest of the "member" switches (MS210-48P) with Bridge Priority 61440 Questions - 1. None of the uplink ports to the router or the ports involved to connect each stack have STP Guard enabled. Should I be enabling RSTP Guard? 2. Should the "master" & "member" switches in a stack have the same Bridge Priority or its OK to have as mentioned above. 3. How can I get the core switch/stack to become the RSTP ROOT? I've read the articles on Meraki website but I'm still unable to get this working. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Just a follow-up question based on the info you provided. Can I implement link aggregation for stacks that are connected by fibre?

@Bruce many thanks for the detailed response. I was able to successfully create the link aggregation between the stacks. Everything seems to be working well. I also lowered the priority of the core stack. Really appreciate your assistance.

Not a network expert so need some assistance here. I've two stacks in the same rack that need to be connected using Ethernet. 1. I'm planning to connect port 1 of the admin switches to port 2,3 & 4 of the core switch 1. Is this correct? If yes, then what should be the STP guard setting be on the core and admin switches for these ports. 2. If point 1 is incorrect, could you please advise which ports on admin switches be connected to the core switch and also the ST guard settings? Thanks in advance.

@BrandonS I see that PaperTrail has pricing based on storage capacity rather than number of endpoints. Are you able to provide an estimate of storage required per switch. I'm looking at deploying around 70 switches. Thanks.
