@ww at the moment default route is local Internet, if local internet goes down we want to route internet traffic to DC internet link via MPLS link by clicking the default route from Site-to-Site vpn --> Hubs--> tick on IPV4 default route, but for this manually we are doing, but we want to make this automatic

@PhilipDAth thanks for your reply, sorry for confusion, i am talking about meraki to meraki tunnels one is thorugh MPLS and other through DIA, same DIA link will be used for local break out for same sites. If DIA link goes down site should be able to access \internet through HUB1 how this is achievable automatically

@ww thanks for you reply, this is not for Non-meraki vpn peer, what i am looking for is if my Internet link(local break out for internet and ready to take traffic for MPLS) goeas down at one of my remote sites that site should take the inernet from my DC (HUB1) is this achievable ?

@MarcP thanks for your reply, may be we need to try through API..but i tried to find required infromation in meraki documentation but i could not able to find that 😞 regards to your screen shot this is prioritise the internet traffic, by default always take WAN where we can forcefully move some trafffic to other link.., but this will not help us to failover automatically.

Hi Team, We have a setup like all our remoite sites Internet access will be locally breakout through Zscaler tunnels., if remote sites Internet link goes down we would like route entire site internet traffic to DC and get the access from DC internet links ? is it achievable through automatically ? i know we can achieve this by manually adding default route from Site-to-Site vpn --> Hubs--> tick on IPV4 defaulr route any thoughts or advices how can we achieve this ? Note : Each remote sites has 2 links - Primary - Internet and Backup- MPLS

@MarcAECthanks for your reply. Yes as per auto vpn it will failover but worry is how remote site subnet access internet ? As Soon as DIA link goes down entire traffic will be failover to MPLS link and it will go to HUB.., do I require me to add any routing on HUB or Remote sides to make sure seamless for internet access, especially VOIP as they are using internet link for SIP tunnel

@MarcAEC Hi, I am looking for same kind of solution where i have 2 WAN links at my Remote sites.., where WAN1 is for Internet access(through Zscaler tunnel) locally and WAN2 is MPLS where site Private subnet (Intranet traffic - example: 10.14.x.0/24 - which includes VOIP subnet) will reach DC for Servers hosted. Now i wanted a seemless failover(for Internet traffic) to WAN2 if site WAN1(Internet Link) goes down., how can i achieve will you be able to help ??

HI All, We have HUB and SPOKE design, one of our SPOKE sites wants to communicate with DNS/DHCP which is hosted in HUB location behind the firewall. WAN1-> configured with Public IP's which is used as Internet Link WAN2->MPLS link can be used as Intranet traffic and this can be rachable to Internet for VN registry. In my HUB routed mode how can i route my all DC(HUB) VLAN's to MX450's. my L3 is firewall which is connected to WAN2 of MX450 through L2 switch on vlan100 need your help/advice on how can i route ?

Hi @PhilipDAth as per your suggistion i had added flow preference below is the error we are getting.., There were errors in saving this configuration: The IP address range 10.20.33.234/32 does not apply to any configured subnets. The IP address range 10.20.33.235/32 does not apply to any configured subnets.

Hi Phillip, Thanks for your reply, I understood that we can not add static route via WAN port. But WAN2 port is still DOWN that will come up only if that interface reachable to Internet for that reason we want to add static rotue towards the LAN which firewall has Internet connection. Do you think if i add Flow Preference source as "MPLS Private subnet" and desitnation as "Dashboard IP's " and Preferred Link as "WAN1" which is Internet connected at the moment. Please we need your advise on this problem.., we have deployment on Friday.

Hi All, i am facing same kind of issues.., can some help on this ?? my WAN1 is conencting to Internet and WAN2 is to MPLS. I need to maintain a Auto VPN for both WAN's.. At the moment my WAN2 interface status showing as "Failed" and not able to ping the gateway(which is ISP router and directly connected) I know WAN2 interface will be active once it has internet reachability., but for i am trying to add one static route pointing to my Firewall interface from same subnet.., but again below error i am getting. "The static LAN route "test" has an invalid next hop IP. The IP address 10.20.33.236 is not on a configured subnet" kindly suggest on anove problem as we deployment in a week.

@DarrenOC thanks for the document I had gone through the document. mysetup slighlty different here, like below. we have 1 MPLS and 1 DIA circuit Can MPLS connect WAN1(Internet-1) port of MX450 ? and DIA circuit can be connected in WAN2 ? is that failover works ? because by default all remote sites should access Intranet services through MPLS link, if MPLS goes down it should failover to DIA circuits ? is it workable solution and we need HA redundancy on MX450 also using any Layer-2 switch

Hi All, We are facing issues to access one of our core switch(MS350) through Local status page., same switch was connected to the dasboard before and added to our exsisting network. I doubt once the device is added the Network can't we access same device through Local statu page to do some changes when we are not seing in dashboard ? need your advice on this toipc please

Thanks for all your advices. Issue has been resolved. I hadconnected below scenerio and was able to upgrade the MX450's to 15.44 and it has started detecting the SFP for copper. 1. I had connected internet copper cable on one of the switch(MS350) port(copper) 2. From the same switch(MS350) port 49(Fiber slot) I had ran the fiber cable to MX450 on Internet port with SFP(SX) 3. As soon as I second step it has started detecting it is SX it's own slot of Fiber. 4. I had confugured the IP address on MX intial page and it has started connecting to Dashboard and downloade the firmware. 4. Once the device is on 15.44 then i had connected back to my original scenrio and it started detected and i can the access the device in dashboard.

Hi All, I have one scenerio where we are with traditonal network setup and using one MX250 -->MS250-->MR's for only Wi-Fi purpose and Network name is " ABC" under organisation. Now we are planning to move compeltely to Meraki kit, when we try to add First MX to the same Network " ABC" it is throwging error as MX should be in same model.., i know it is comparing with exsiting MX250. But as per our desing we would like to keep 3 MX's MX450 as HA and MX250 as separate for Wi-Fi..is it possible to keep 3 MX's in same Network ?

Hi All, I am with cusotmer implementation where, we have 1Gig internet link needs to be connected to MX450 which will have SFP slot,,for that we had brought SFP(MA-SFP-1GB-TX) which we had installed in MX450 INternet slot.., But when we can the lan cable from the ISP rotuer to the Internet port of MX450(on top of SFP) we are not seing any LED's on port.., do guys think any compatble issues with SFP ? we go this modile based on the meraki SFP sheet and we do have confirmation from Meraki as well that it should work. Any suggestions please we need to install this MX450 by tomorrow.
