Hi Meraki Peeps. Good day. Would like to know if we have a solution for this scenario. Primary Uplink will use ISP 1. Secondary uplink will use ISP 2 and will be used by Site-to-Site VPN (Non Meraki Peers which is AWS). Is this possible to be configured on the MX device? We had a same situation but we are also using ISP 2 as the primary uplink. However, when I shifted to ISP 1 as the primary uplink, we had issues on the S-to-S VPN connection. We want to avoid configuring anything on the non-Meraki peer side (AWS).

Hi @Cmadiam82 ! So we use Meraki from MX Appliances, to MS Switches, to MR APs. To access a certain web page, we need to connect to our VPN (not Meraki VPN). When I am connected wirelessly (and connected successfully to the VPN), I can ping the URL and the IP address of the web page but cannot access it on the browser. When I connect via wired cable, ping test are successful and I can access the page. Note that wireless and wired connection is on the same VLAN (so same gateway). So why am I having the issue when I am wirelessly connected?

Hi fellow Meraki users, Just want to raise a concern here. Trying to figure out what is the problem on our setup. When I try to access a certain page (via VPN connection), it won't load when I am connected wirelessly. But when I plugged in on my LAN port, the page is accessible. To share some inputs, wireless and wired connections are on the same VLANs so it's weird that when I'm connected on the wireless, it won't work (Plus the fact that my connection's policy is whitelisted).

Hi @BrechtSchamp I already tried doing some of the recommendations here (Content Filtering), but users were still able to connect to the sites I've block using Opera Browser (with Built In VPN).

Hi Meraki Peeps! I am having this issue right now on our network. So I created a Group policies for different departments that blocks Social Media on Layer 7 FW, and even added the blocking of social media sites on web/content filtering. However, users download VPN apps (through Microsoft Store app) which allows them to access social media sites. Do you have recommendation how to block VPN connections or block the Microsoft app?

As far as I know, yes. When a user is whitelisted, it basically override any rules (Firewall, content filtering, traffic shaping, etc).

Only way to deny those sites above is if I include the categories on Content Filtering (blocking social networking, streaming medias, etc). But if exclude those, I can access Facebook, Youtube etc.

Hi all, Want to ask for help. So I configured a group policy with certain Layer7 FW rules (denying social media sites, videos and music, p2p, etc). I applied the group policy to my unit (both wireless and wired) to test. However, I can still access sites such as Youtube, Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, etc., which are all under the categories I am trying to deny. Did I miss something?

Hi Team, Good day! Just want to clear things up. I just learned that CMNO will be replaced by the ECMS series. How about the CMNA? I got my CMNA last 2017 when I was still working with a Cisco reseller. Just want to know if my cert is still valid since I am now working to non-Cisco reseller (or an end user) company. How many years is the validity of CMNA? IF NOT, is recommended to take the EMCS to pursue higher certs (ECMS 2, CMSS).

The thing is we don't have any firewall or any rule that would block connection to Meraki cloud. So I don't think it is a firewall issue.

Hi Meraki Team, Just curious about this case. I've installed the Meraki Agent to a number of PCs. Though it is just weird that we are experiencing these cases: 1. Desktop PC details successfully sync to the Sys Manager dashboard but status of the device is gray or offline (while device is really online). 2. Desktop PC details did not sync to the Sys Manager dashboard (cannot see the device on the list. Already tried to repair the installation, issue still persists). Does anyone here have experienced this?

Hi All, I've raised this to Meraki Support. As per their advise, I should try to access HTTP sites (eg bbc.com, etc) so traffic will be identified, that would prompt the Splash page.

Hi BlakeRichardson, As I have tried for a number times, splash page will try to load but it will end up to error connection. I've already tried to flush the dns but still the same error. As far as I know, there are no VPN software installed on her unit.

Hi All, Would like to know if anyone here has experience our issue. When user below opens her laptop every time she comes to office, she is unable to access the Splash page portal whenever it connects to any of the active SSIDs (Ex SSID1 SSID2) and to any of the active APs (AP1 and AP2). Note that both SSIDs are enabled on the 2 APs. It is just weird since she is the only user that is experiencing this problem.

Also, with the power supply of MS250-48FPS, what is the legit image for MA-PWR-1025WAC? Is it A or B? straight line on the bottom part with a curve on the bottom part So I can check if Cab-C13-CBN or CAB-C15-CBN is the appropriate cable that I can offer (IF and only if other power cords are compatible with Meraki PSU)

Hi Guys! Just want to know your inputs with regards to my inquiry. As per checking the data sheet of MS, these are the only compatible power cables for MS250-48FPS MA-PWR-CORD-US MA-PWR-CORD-EU MA-PWR-CORD-UK MA-PWR-CORD-AU However, what I'm trying to look at is the equivalent of CAB-C13-CBN. Is it possible to use other power cord (from Cisco Catalyst switches) instead of using Meraki provided power cords (since there are no options for this)?

@AStoddard thanks for your input. This is my worry with the MS, I thought that if the switch gets disconnected to the cloud, all configs (access, trunk ports) will be disabled and there will be network outage. Thanks for the clarification!
