Having from today lot of IDS allerts which allowed over my meraki   Till yesterday , meraki blocked sereral times a malware the following malware came from an external ip W32.Auto:8fe08f36a9.in03.Talos   From today i have the following problems and the action on mx events page says "allowed"   First of all on lot of events my server appeared as a source and and an ip on Germany appeared as a destination  All the details for the above events says about a cryptocurrency miner ...for example Cryptocurrency Miner outbound connection attempt   The last hour i have 3 events which allowed (my server is as destination and and ip from France...with different ports in each event (32577,31927,30963) appears as a source The event details are the following MSSQL CLR permission set to unsafe attempt   On firewall page i cannot add inbound rules. It says  Inbound traffic will be restricted to the services and forwarding rules configured below.     By default on the outbound rules there is a rule which i cannot delete it  This rule says policy allow, protocol, source,destination any and this time count hits...                 ... Yesterday night i made again the update to my appliance to 14.40 (from 14.39). I had some problems and i called the support because the appliance had a sync problem to the cloud .. The problem solved maybe itself.. I opened lot of threads, asked lot of people which know more things from me about networks but... From yesterday night , about 20:30 till today at 20:00 i had no failovers, no disconnections on WAN1 which is a 200Mbps connection from our ISP But the problem appeared again. I don't know yet after lot of tries, lot of conversations who or what is responsible for that disconnections. My ISP, ISP's router, meraki or my configuration? On MX local status page i configured 2 internet connections (last february when he signed the contract with the fast 200Mbps Connection). Till June we had no problems at all. I enabled the 2 connections (which are static from the 2 ISP's) with PPPOE Config ,and added the credentials for each connection . Both of Router are on bridge mode.. On uplink page inside the appliance there is a simple configuration which says about the global ip that i have and about wan1 and wan2 configuration in which i am able to change it. Both connection are configured (maybe from MX Local status page) as PPPOE and i can see the Global Ip of each one and the DNS Servers Because both connections are static is it right to change the configuration from DHCP to static ...and add the Global Static IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS Servers? Also am i able to do it because when i rollover the mouse it says that the local configuration cannot be overriden on this firmware version. I don't what is the problem again . Someone told me to change the MTU (i send a message to meraki support but they didn't answered me). The second connection works without problems from February I must make a power off to my isp's router again in order to have the wan1 connection enabled again. For some hours...again... ... I just made a firmware upgrade from 14.39 to 14.40 and i am trying to have access to my appliance from home. After this i made a reboot appliance from my home... but   The last 20 minutes i can enter to meraki cloud dashboard and a message Unreachable for ...minutes appeared every time ... View more

First of all   We had purchased Meraki on August 2018. In the beginning we had 2 simple ADSL Connections 24Mbps connected in it (bridge mode)  On february 2019 we changed the one of the above with  a new VDSL Connection 200down/20up from a Greek Provider . The provider of the VDSL Connection gave as a Technicolor DGA 4130 and i changed it to bridge mode Till June we had no problems with the load balancing. After lot of disconnections on June i changed the technicolor with a TP LINK 9970 modem router in bridge mode and the problems disappeared..!!! But..The provider didn't found problem on our telephone line and on Technicolor.. so i setup again technicolor which worked fine till yesterday..   Yesterday i made a firmware update on Meraki ( MX 14.40 ) and the problems appeared again. Till yesterday evening had this event every 5,10 or 15 minutes  I didn't came back to tp link because it has no sip port for the telephone line (fax) but i am planning to do it tomorrow       ... Hello We bought Meraki MX64 before one year and we operate on it 2 wan connections . The one of them operates on internet port without disconnections. The second one operates on lan 4 port one we have a lot of disconnections* last week (Wan 2 not connected on dashboard page) The router for the second one works in bridge mode and the provider told me that the last week had a lot of disconnections but the line is clear so maybe it's not a router or line problem but problem of another equipment we have (ex mx64)       ... Hello to the community   I am not a beginner but also i am not a guru    We have a meraki MX64 till last summer in our company and i am looking for answers of how to configure it as best as possible. We have no serious problems  Here is my configuration   The primary wan port is enabled by default (we have an internet bridge connection on it) and i also configured the Lan 4 port as wan and we have also a bridge internet connection on it   The meraki is enabled as dhcp server and we have no wireless connections on it . I mean that we do not have wireless access on our company network. For this case we have a 3rd router which is only for wireless and is outside of our company network (for customers or for our mobile phones)   For the operation of port forwarding i have only one rule for a port of our server and 1 static ip from outside is allowed to have access on this port   I blocked some website categories like sex,drugs,guns and i added 2 firewall layer 7 rules in order to block p2p networks and online gaming I have enabled the advanced malware protections and intrusion detection The last week one time a day i have these events and i don't know what they are   Intrusion detection started Intrusion detection error Intrusion detection rules update   We also have an endpoint protection the last month which is fine (seqrite) .   So, we have no serious problems but i want your advices how to add a better protection on meraki by adding some usefull rules    ...
