Does your Nvr have two ports? What you’re seeing could be normal behaviour based on your setup. If there are two ports into the nvr then one port will be active and passing traffic the other will be blocking and so discarded packets.

Only downside is having to manage the device manually via the mgmt port. It’ll continue to work but if it hits the cloud again then it’ll download its config from there and you’ll have to factory reset again. Obvs also no support, warranty, entitlement to software upgrades

You could daisy chain the switches together to form a physical stack of switches using their SFP+ uplink ports. But you couldt stack them in the traditional sense using their stacking ports nor add them as a stack in the dashboard.

Just a thought, what about placing your guest traffic at the remote sites in a separate VRF and routing that traffic back to your main site? Not a tunnel but your guest traffic is segmented. There’s a lot of questions to be asked and a lot of depends but worth exploring?

Have you checked to see if you have any PAC/Hosts files configured on your machines that are performing the local DNS lookups? Seems unlikely that Google would resolve your local hostnames.
