Hello all, First of all thanks to everyone for providing your inputs. Im approaching this solution with some changes. I'm planning to install MR30H in each apartment , Can I create a single SSID for all apartments for example "Tenants" and create separate VLAN for each apartments? as it is a single SSID can I contain Broadcast and multicast in this ? There are common areas like pool and Gym, as the Tenants move with their devices Do you recommend to create a separate SSID for roaming? Could you please provide some best practices? Thanks

Hello All, Im working on a deployment design where I'm expecting long term users. It will be like a Hotel environment where each room needs SSID ( considering security I feel it will be good provide separate SSID's) Im expecting around 60 rooms all of them with multiple devices. May be 1 AP' for 4 rooms ( 15 AP's 60 rooms) for and apply some bandwidth restriction on these SSID's to make sure everyone gets fair bandwidth My questions are 1. is it good to have many SSID's , does it impact AP performance? 2. How do I manage the keys - ( example on boarding a new person's devices, how to change the keys etc..) is there a separate solution for that? Thanks

Hey thanks for the response. Split tunnel is how we enable it, my ask is more specifically on how to plan it. when you access a VDI its just the key strokes we do from local computer, if I have to access the IE/Chrome or any browser how do i direct to local gateway at branch? Do i need to use a local browser outside the VDI? Have you come across any such scenario?

Hello My questions is more about product ordering and smartnet/enterprise license appreciate if someone can provide insight on this. I'm looking for MR 42 WAP's, along with this I need 3 year 8x5XNBD smartnet ( Product support, replacement warranty etc..) when i Checked in the CCW , I can see many options for example "Meraki MR Enterprise License" what does this license cover? is this to enable Cloud access , am i supposed buy additional smartnet? Thanks Philip, as a newbie in meraki I was confused and thought I need to consider separate internet connection to receive Public IP on my WAN Interfaces. vMX was mentioned as free of cost along with other azure workloads.

Even I'm not sure, I'm aware that there are Internet pricing https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/ My scenario is that I got 11 branches and most of my application stack will be with Azure, Instead of going through Internet breakout and accessing the apps, I feel let these branches connect to a vMX in the Azure so that the performance will be slightly better In this scenario which internet option I need to choose, could you please guide.

Hi All, I've a specific requirement here. I do have a traditional WAN today with MPLS and Internet is centralized. I would like to select One branch remove the existing router and connect an MX device. I will configure the existing MPLS on MX device. Also, planning to introduce 1 extra Internet circuit at the branch to enable branch level Internet breakout. I wont be configuring a site to site VPN or Auto VPN. Purpose of this scenario is to test if I can divert all my Internet traffic through the new Internet circuit and reduce the load on MPLS. I'm unable to arrange new circuits for SD-WAN testing also cant change the existing hub router at DC. 1. is the MX work like a router ? is there any limitations in the configurations? 2. The above scenario wont be a true SD-WAN, at least I will be able to see what is the load on my traditional MPLS link once I do branch level breakout. Without auto VPN etc.. will it work? Regards B
