Ok, the spec talks about 750 Mbps firewall throughput but I will be using the MX just to provide Internet connectivity not for any specific firewall rules.

Hello I'm planning to buy an MX 100 for one of my remote sites. My initial plan was to connect a 600 Mbps DSL now my provider said they can give 1000/125 Mbps. I was checking the MX spec and it says 750 Mbps only. does it mean I wont be able to see a download speed more than 750 Mbps?

Hello all, First of all thanks to everyone for providing your inputs. Im approaching this solution with some changes. I'm planning to install MR30H in each apartment , Can I create a single SSID for all apartments for example "Tenants" and create separate VLAN for each apartments? as it is a single SSID can I contain Broadcast and multicast in this ? There are common areas like pool and Gym, as the Tenants move with their devices Do you recommend to create a separate SSID for roaming? Could you please provide some best practices? Thanks

Hello All, Im working on a deployment design where I'm expecting long term users. It will be like a Hotel environment where each room needs SSID ( considering security I feel it will be good provide separate SSID's) Im expecting around 60 rooms all of them with multiple devices. May be 1 AP' for 4 rooms ( 15 AP's 60 rooms) for and apply some bandwidth restriction on these SSID's to make sure everyone gets fair bandwidth My questions are 1. is it good to have many SSID's , does it impact AP performance? 2. How do I manage the keys - ( example on boarding a new person's devices, how to change the keys etc..) is there a separate solution for that? Thanks

Hi all, Im planning to have 2 Mx devices ( Warm spare) for my sites with 2 x ISP's. I don't have static IP's as they cost more. With dynamic IP configuration Do I need to connect the ethernet hand-off directly to the Mx devices ? Thanks Jdsilva. There might be specific applications coded in Java/VB/ASP with specific icons, which are not accessed as http or https using a browser, So in this case those specific apps are not identified by MX for monitoring is my understanding correct?

Hey all, I'm bit curious to know the real capability of Meraki MX devices on the Application performance monitoring and reporting capabilities, I saw the documentation where they talk about many things. I would like to know the actual experience of users, If i got few customized applications hosted at my hub site how is it going to identify the application, hows it done? what are the different elements I can see from the report? Does it give only response time?

Hey thanks for the response. Split tunnel is how we enable it, my ask is more specifically on how to plan it. when you access a VDI its just the key strokes we do from local computer, if I have to access the IE/Chrome or any browser how do i direct to local gateway at branch? Do i need to use a local browser outside the VDI? Have you come across any such scenario?

Hello My questions is more about product ordering and smartnet/enterprise license appreciate if someone can provide insight on this. I'm looking for MR 42 WAP's, along with this I need 3 year 8x5XNBD smartnet ( Product support, replacement warranty etc..) when i Checked in the CCW , I can see many options for example "Meraki MR Enterprise License" what does this license cover? is this to enable Cloud access , am i supposed buy additional smartnet?
