I only needed the location services on so that the time zone was correct. Each summer we reset all of the schools ipads for the new school year and if we don't go in and change the location services to on, then the time zone is wrong which in return causes issues for certain applications etc.

I read a blog where it indicated that when creating a profile for managed iPad that you could configure settings for them, but the blog did not go into detail on how to do this. My access in meraki is limited but if these features are available I could partner with an administrator to have it done.. Therefor my question is, is there a way to customize settings like making sure location services are turned on and enabling/disabling certain settings in safari like Close Tabs After One Day and Prevent Cross-Site Tracking? When creating a new enrollment profile, I do not see any of these options.

The amount of time this feature would save if it worked properly would be substantial. As of april 2024 "Meraki SM and Apple are still working together on this, but no ETA for resolution at this time."

Once I can physically look at one of these ipads tomorrow, i will check the storage usage if it allows me, but I just could not understand why it was consuming so much.

Yes they are 32gb ipads. Each of these ipads have an associated tag for the specific school, so when I tag it, a handful of them are pushed out. These are also pushed out to other 32gb ipads that have 17.5 iOS and they are only at like 40% used disc space.

I recently had to reset some of the student ipads to assign a new profile and update them to the newest iOS.. After doing so, a lot of the ipads now have an almost full disk space. The students are only allotted 3gb and each ipad has only one user on it.. Any idea of what is consuming all of the disk space?

As the other response stated, what we did was create a new profile. We put it at 3GB for the quota size. I then had to reassign the new settings to the ipads and then erase/set them all back up. I ended up updating them to 18.1 because the previous iOS had known issues with clever not scanning the QR codes.

We have cleared out applications but because of the profile that was originally created for the students have such a limited amount of storage, it is still having the issue because it is an issue with the specific student storage and not the iPad storage. I'm not sure what the data it is storing of the students either.

Typically only one student is logged into each ipad, but their storage limit was like, 1.5gb or something I can't remember. I just am not sure why this is happening this year and not the last 2 years. I'm not sure what changed or what data is even consuming their allotted amount. We have created a new Profile to allow more storage per user, but that means I have to touch every device again.😅 We are a very large district.

Reaching out to see if anyone else is experiencing issues with their managed iPads and what course was taken to correct it. We currently have classroom ipads set up under the shared assignment, typically only one student is using each ipad. Our 32gb devices started having error messages pop up when the camera is trying to be used stating there is not enough storage on the device. These same devices are also having trouble when the camera is needed to be used to scan QR codes. The only fix we have come up with is moving these iPads paired assignment or changing the shared profile to a bigger storage setting. Both will involve resetting the ipads and setting them up. Any suggestions that don't involve touching every device?

No, I have not yet heard any communication around this. I have been patiently waiting. We have 1500 iPads to reset this summer and this would really make things go a lot faster if they had a solution or fixed whatever the issue is with the re turn to service option.

Yes, After choosing the specific network I need, then I select Systems Manager > Devices. Once I am on the device list page, if i scroll to the bottom and try to select the next page or a specific page number, it just kicks me right back to page 1. Does not let me move forward onto page 2 or selected page.

Apologies if this is sent to the incorrect location, but I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues on the Device List page on the new version of meraki? Any time I try to go the the next page or jump to a page, it just automatically kicks me back to the page 1.
