Thank you everyone for the explanations. Will combining the networks affect any of the configurations on the MX250 and the switch stack? I wouldn't want to bring down the site or anything like that.

I thought it was odd myself. Yes, the same support team provides support to the devices. From all the demos that I've seen, the network has all the devices in it. How would I go about merging the networks into one?

Hello all, We've started upgrading our network with Cisco Meraki devices. I've noticed that in the Dashboard, the network administrator has created separate network types. He'll have one for just the access points, just the MX250, and just the switch stack. My question is, can't we combine these devices to fit into one network name? What might be the reason for one to set up the networks like this?

What's going on with searching now? Before, you could type in the search bar to search for anything in the Dashboard. That does not seem to be working anymore. For example, if I search for "network", nothing shows up, or "geofencing", etc. Anybody else having this issue?

The MR33 is live. I am connected to it wirelessly. If I connect from the MX68 via Ethernet cable, I get a connection on my laptop.

Yes, that is my topology, except I have the MR33 connected to the MX68. Even if I connect the MS120 to a port with VLAN 1, I still don't get connection.

Hi @AjitKumar When I connect a laptop to the switchport, I get an unidentified network and no internet access. I've set up a VLAN on the MX68 for the switch to be plugged into. It's set to trunk and allow all VLANs.

Hi all, I received an MS120-8LP switch that I'd like to add to my current network setup. I currently have an MX68 and an MR33. I've powered on the MS120 and plugged it into the MX68, but it's just displaying the orange LED light and not connecting to the Meraki Dashboard. What am I doing wrong?

We have a Domain Controller with a static IP address and the Meraki Event Log is showing that every hour or so the MAC address is XYZ then another hour or so it's ZYX. There's teaming on the two NICs on the Domain Controller.

Hi all, I'm getting this client IP conflict detected message from my MX250 appliance. There are multiple clients with the same MAC address on the network. It looks as if the MAC address hops around to different clients. I'm not sure how that is happening. I'm not even sure if this makes any sense. Can anyone help in trying to figure this out, please? I don't even know where to start.

Thanks @cmr I was able to follow this and instead of creating a separate SSID, I applied a group policy to the VLAN and it worked! Thank you all for the assistance!

Thank you for the detailed explanation @cmr Just to make sure I understand clearly, since I'll be creating a new SSID to include the ACs, does this mean I'll have to connect to the new SSID in order to control the ACs, instead of using the existing SSID? I use an app on my Android phone to control the ACs.

@ww The SSID is set to Bridge mode. Have a look at the screenshot below. These are all listed as Native: VLAN 1 Trunk ports by default. Can I leave that how it is? How do I tag the SSID with the VLAN number? If I tag the SSID with the VLAN number, won't everything that connects wirelessly go into that VLAN? I only want the three devices on the the VLAN I've created.

Hi Merakians, Newbie here! Not sure if I'm in the right section, if not, my apologies. I am seeking help in setting up VLANs on my network. I have three wireless air conditioners that I'd like to put on a VLAN. I'm not really sure where to start. I've gone into the Addressing and VLANs subsection of the Security & SD-WAN section and created a VLAN. I'm confused as to how I add those three devices to this VLAN now? My network consists of an MX64 and an MR33. Any help is appreciated!
