If you are using an NPS server as a remote proxy for the additional SSID, then all those requests will come from one IP address - that of the remote NPS proxy server.

Maybe Caroline would make it like the "Make a Wish" feature on the new Meraki Insight product (that is satire). ps. Here is a screenshot in case you have not seen this. Perhaps Meraki should run a competition. If a customer actually figures out how to make a wish for Meraki Insight they get a free pair of glasses. Go on, look really hard, and you'll eventually figure out how to make a wish.

I support your request - and it has been asked for a lot of times on the community previously, and I have voiced this directly to various people at Meraki as well.

Hi Philip - do you mean a link to the page that shows all posts across the entire community? (https://community.meraki.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/message/category-id/meraki)? No, I think @NSGuru was meaning something like this URL (just all new posts). https://community.meraki.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/interaction-style/forum/post-type/thread/page/1

I understand storage space is quite tight at the SFO office. What about if you had all the swag manufactured and stored in Auckland, New Zealand? Just think of all the International freight charges you could save on.

Sometimes I think someone's answer is so good I want to give them a double kudo. At the moment I have to give them a tripple kudo if I get excited otherwise they end up with no kudo at all.

The whole point of a vPC is that it provides a virtualised network environment. Their is no communication at all between vPCs. Because their is no communication between them, a vMX is one can not possible talk to the others. If you are instead referring to networks that belong to a single vPC, then yes, you can do that.

Cisco switches have the "show switch mac-address-table". A Cisco Meraki switch has similar functionality. Cisco ASA's do not have the "show switch ..." command, and alas neither do Meraki MX appliances.

No, because you wouldn't configure 15,000 locations as hub sites. At that scale, you would probably have some core hubs, some regional hubs, and the rest would be spokes connecting to their regional hubs.

Are you say it was broadcasting the SSID, you changed nothing, and it stopped working? Is this happening across multiple client types (aka, PC, smartphone)?

Also did you know if you use Systems Manager you can have it deploy a certificate automatically on each machine, for certificate based authentication, and you don't even need NPS? Considering how cheap Systems Manager is - this is quite a good option. WiFi authentication is no longer dependent on any of your infrastructure. https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Encryption_and_Authentication/Certificate-based_WiFi_authentication_with_Systems_Manager_and_Meraki_APs

Did you know you can specify a prefix instead of an individual IP address in NPS? For example, you can use 192.168.0.0/16 to represent a huge number of access points - with a single client entry.

To do it you have to turn the P2P circuit into an internet circuit. So lets take a simple case. Lets say at the remote site their is an ISP supplied modem with four ports doing NAT on the LAN side (so you can just plug in a computer and access the Internet). You have the remote MX plugged into one of those ports. Move the P2P circuit so that it also plugs into this ISP supplied router. Now on your site move the P2P circuit to WAN2 on the local MX. Enabled AutoVPN. Set the preference so that VPN traffic prefers WAN2, and Internet can fail over to it. So traffic between the two sites will flow over AutoVPN over the P2P circuit between the MX WAN ports. The local site can now also fail over its Internet to that of the remote site.

@CarolineS it hasn't happened today for me. I'll wait for the next occurence. Just looking back on some of them, the ones I looked at are very slightly different. I wonder if it is people editing posts, and correct spelling and typos. I'll see with the next one.
