I have one vpn setup in the MX, along with some other vlans. Where would I put access/firewall rules concerning the vpn subnet? In the inbound section or outbound? For example I want vpn subnet to have access to a file share on vlan2? What about non-vpn inter vlan access; would I put these in inbound or outbound section? thanks.

ok, Thank you all for your help. The new vlan was enabled on the wrong Lan/trunk port on the MX. The one that it was enabled on was not even plugged in to the switch. I enabled the new vlan on the one port that is going to all the switches and is now receiving dhcp wired and wireless.

I'm trying to find out which way is better? Apply rules in the vlan group policy vs adding the rule in the mx firewall section. Say I have vlan10 192.168.10.0, and vlan 20 192.168.20.0. If I want to open up TCP port 445 to 20.0 where would be the best place to put it. I'm curious because on the vlan group policy side the last rule is allow any-any. Doesn't this cancel out any other rules I make?

I have created a new Test vlan20. I have created a new dhcp as well. I have made a test ssid and assigned vlan20 in the ssid page under vlan tagging. I can connect a laptop to the ssid, but am not getting a dhcp that is assigned to that vlan? What am I missing? The ports on the AP are set to allow all vlans. thanks.

Documentation really helped. If I want to test this on just one switch ( have 3), and on just one port, will all connected clients be affected when I make this on the NPS? Or does it only get applied when it is applied via Meraki?

I have client vpn setup with Radius enabled and working so I know the Radius portion is working. I am trying to setup an Access Policy to enable 802.1x on a switch port. When I enter the info of the radius server it fails the test. What do I need to configure on the radius server side to make this work?

Update: Turns out the dns entry for www was pointing to old server. Changed it to new server and access to web is ok. Always dns....

Hi, an update here. It is a linux machine btw. I was able to change the current ip on it to xxx.20.5 and could ping it from vlan1 and another pc in vlan20, and from the MX. I adjusted the port forward to xxx.20.5 port 80 but the website does not resolve. Is there a time frame that needs syncing? The webserver has xxx.20.1 as the default gateway which was setup with the vlan

My native vlan is 192.168.10.0. I created a new vlan to host just the webserver mimicking a DMZ. The new vlan20 is 192.168.20.0. I have allowed vlan20 in the "allowed vlan's" on the active port along with the native vlan1 The web server is 192.168.20.5 and I port forward port 80 to this address. However, when I move the webserver from the current .10 network to the vlan20 network, people cannot access it from the web. What am I doing wrong or what more needs to be done?

All my clients who vpn in are authenticated also through our Network Policy Server. When I look in the event viewer, all the requests have an NAS ipv4 of 6.233.169.224 address. Is this something from Meraki? When I look it up it is an address in Colorado. Should I be concerned about this?

Current setting are: Advanced Malware Protection: enabled Intrusion detection and prevention: Prevention. I disabled AMP, and lo and behold I get the updates! Thanks Blake. Hey Meraki what is going on? Any ideas to still have AMP AND updates?

All the pc/servers cannot reach Windows update anymore. I have the MX100 behind our ISP router. I have ruled out the ISP router because I can reach WU when I plug a laptop directly in the router. This is not a Windows update troubleshoot problem because it is affecting ALL devices. I'm trying to see whether the MX100 has anything to do with in and how to troubleshoot it. Any help is appreciated. I have changed the dns of a local laptop to 8.8.8.8 and still no updates. I don't see anything in the Meraki firewall that would block this.

In Systems Manager--settings--I have created a profile (apple use scoped). I click on "Add Settings", but do not see an icon for vpn. I want to push a vpn setting to the devices. Documentation says it should be there. Any ideas?
