Thanks, glad to hear it. We've had some issues with balancing as well where clients will hold onto further less signal APs in lieu of ones that are closer.

What is the benefit of having SSID's per floor? If they are near the end of a floor or are walking between floors the experience would be more seamless if the SSID's were all just 'X Guest' etc...

Interesting. I know for sure when you setup the spokes you can set up multiple hubs to connect to but I believe it connects to the hubs based on "Hubs will be prioritized in descending order."

@BrandonS wrote: @Adam wrote: I agree the RMA process is pretty painless. We still keep some unlicensed hardware spares on hand though for critical stuff where the 1-2 day downtime would be a problem. There is also this enhanced Meraki support program that seems to not be well known: https://meraki.cisco.com/lib/pdf/meraki_now_solution_guide.pdf Interesting. Kudos for the link. But I'm sure it'd still be cheaper to keep a few physical units on hand.

Based on this I'd assume the answer is 'No' https://documentation.meraki.com/MV/Other_Topics/MV_Security_Camera_FAQ#Is_there_any_way_to_back_video_up_onto_an_NVR.2C_DVR.2C_NAS.2C_or_other_centralized_storage_device.3F

I'm not sure about that specific alert but does the source indicate a client, or perhaps a mail server on your network? I typically use the source and destination to try to start running captures to gain more insight into what is going on.

I've never noticed that before but hopefully it is a normal part of the IDS process after it gets its rule updates or something. Here are some snippets from my logs as well. I'm at firmware 13.28 and Prevention/Balanced mode.

If you wanted an MX64 instead of the MX64W can you just exchange it with your reseller? But worst case, just copy/clone an existing MX64 network and then assign the MX64W to it and it should get the majority of the settings except for the device name, static IP etc...

@AjitKumar is correct. You cannot currently step the upgrades. Is there any particular reason why you'd want to do this? If it is for stability testing do you have any other networks with fewer APs? We typically do firmware updates on those smaller networks first to make sure things are stable before rolling it out to our sites with more APs. One potential, but not ideal, option would be to split your devices into two networks. But that would be only if you absolutely have to do them separate and have no other networks.

@Wireless123 wrote: I will try this aftrerhours, as I'm not sure if the APs will reboot. Don't want users noticing. Also, after I do this, what are your thoughs on "Layer 3 Roaming" for my APs? I currently do "bridge". So you have Layer 2 LAN isolation set to "Enabled"?

Try turning off client balancing. It has been causing issues for some people. Wireless>Radio Settings and set Client Balancing to 'Off'

I have a similar configuration to yours and I also thought it was strange but it seems to be the design of their product. In the grand scheme of things, it is relatively low risk being able to ping the Gateways.

I believe regardless of whatever rules you set up you'll still be able to ping the VLAN gateways. But you shouldn't be able to ping any devices inside of that subnet if you have the proper rules configured.

So you are basically wanting the ability to have 3 redundant WAN links? EDIT: For scenarios where we want LTE as our active WAN2 we just use a cradlepoint modem.

You could try going to Wireless>Radio Settings, you may have to view the old version and try turning off Client Balancing.

I was thinking the same as @jdsilva You'll just have to disclude or filter out the IP on the Syslog server side.

We use a Lifesize system just fine. Does your Cisco system need any routes to get out the MX? You may want to double check the config from whatever device you replaced.

You can try whitelisting the printer mac address then connect. If that doesn't work then you'll likely need to go the route that @BrandonS mentioned. We have a similar SSID for less intelligent devices.
