I like motion alerts, but they don't work on the MV72X. When it rains at night you get 100+ spurious alerts. There is no ETA on the fix, even though the issue has been acknowledged. @Ryan_Miles do you know if the 3rd generation cameras are also affected?

I used it briefly when there were issues with 31.x. it was stable for me on a network with a mix of 9166, 9163, 56 and 55.

The MS390 /C9300-M switches are Cisco Catalyst hardware that run the Cisco IOS-XE operating system. For stable and RC firmware, the Meraki management software runs in a container on top. For the beta it is part of IOS-XE. The other switches are Meraki native with no IOS at all.

I like the PoE++ models, but think the PoE+ and non PoE are a bit poor, being all 1Gb. I can however see their use in schools, replacing MS2xx or C2960X edge switches with C9300s at the core.

Adding to what @alemabrahao said, the management interfaces of each switch have their own Ip addresses, these normally remain constant, regardless of which member is the active stack master.

Disable PoE from the switch port and the AP will go down and stay down. No more alarms.

There are sprays you can put on the dome for water to run off, these might also help with snow. I think @Ryan_Miles has used them and commented elsewhere.

@ADMINSRS -please help with the following information so tat we can assist: What wireless adapters are in use and what driver version are they on? How far are they from the AP? How many devices are connected to the AP? What frequency band(s) are in use? 2.4, 5 etc. Cheers!

Adding to what @KarstenI said, create at least two VLANs on the MX, one for guests and one for employees and set the firewall rules so the guest VLAN can only talk out to the internet. Alternatively set the guest SSID to use NAT mode on the APs and disable access to LAN IP addresses. This will however mean that each AP is its own network as far as the guest is concerned so the clients don't roam as quickly.

I've also noticed that it now needs the advantage/advanced license, which I don't remember being the case when it was first available? If you have that then you can store up to 4GB of captures in the cloud with proactive capturing. As PDL allows you to apply an advantage license to individual APs, with the rest left at Enterprise, you could just enable it on those.

I tested it on a small network and it captured a few hundred sessions in a couple of days. It will only let you store a certain amount and in any reasonable size network you would end up with many thousands of captures in a day. This is why I think you are only meant to enable it for particular troubleshooting.

I think my replacement PSU was the one you had... The old one I had was smaller and I think the make started with Chang... I can't tell if your new is that, of a third variant?
