Remove the devices from your networks and unclaim them from your inventory/dashboard. Provide the new tenants the serials from which they’ll claim into their dashboard. They’ll be required to buy new licenses.

You can make as many changes as you want in the Meraki dashboard whilst the device is disconnected but these won’t replicate to the device until it touches the cloud again

You can make minor changes to the device offline including the device ip address, subject mask and mgmt vlan. You can also amend switchport VLANs but these will be overridden once the device hits the cloud again

If the device is Offline I.e not registered to the cloud then any changes you make in the dashboard won’t replicate to the device until it re-registers. this is the same behaviour for Aruba also. How can a device onboard changes if it’s not registered to the cloud? This is cloud networking, not magic.

Hi @Closey1200 , as you say, connect the new switch onto the network with an IP in your management subnet. Then during the outage window migrate a VLAN or service at a time. If the management subnet has continuous Internet access then you’re good.

I would assume the MS-425s are your core and the MS225’s are your edge. By design I would be connecting by end user endpoints to the edge as this is where you implement your NAC, QoS and security policies as close to the user as possible.
