Same situation - they appear due to LLDP discovery and are displayed as the switches model/name as they are all Cisco ones - the HP ones also appear to, but as regarding management - afraid not as mentioned, none are Cloud managed devices or Meraki kit..   Just in the process of moving over to all Meraki MS225 poe switches 🙂 ... we've done something similar with our networks.  11 sites/networks across europe, each network/site has 3 SSIDs Corp - internal access, psk based (currently) BYOD Guest - psk changed weekly - provided by reception at each site.   PSK for corp has been set the same for each site (looking at getting Enterprise license for System manager to allow access by certificates)   This allows any staff member to travel to any other site and connect automatically to the Corp network.   Works pretty well 🙂 ... a bit late to the camp but I recently just finished a powershell script and implemented it last week:   It generates a random password (length and complexity can be changed in the script), it then updates the relevant SSID in the required site and emails the password to the reception mailbox.   Site name and SSID name are passed as parameters to the script.  Its currently used for just the guest wifi, but can obviously be used for any that uses a PSK.   It's scheduled to run at 4pm Fridays (this gives reception time to print out the new password ready for the nights and weekend security teams.   e.g.: MerakiPSKTool.ps1 -site <sitename> -ssid <ssidname>   rgds Gary ... In Merakis defence, i don't believe the issue is their fault - it's an MS issue which MS should be sorting.   It would be nice if Meraki did listen to the populace with regards to being able to use a 3rd party client or even Ciscos own client if they wanted to keep it partially in house.   Come on Team Meraki - listen to the users, not everyone can be bothered to put it on a wish list, just make it happen, pretty please (there that should help 😉 )   Gary ... Having the same issue with Win 10 changing the Allow these protocol options from PAP to CHAP for no reason at all.   Anyone have any update on this with regards to a permanent fix.  A bit of a pain in the arm for users having to go through and manual change the settings back each time if messes up.   We may end up buying a dedicated VPN concentrator (like the sonicwall we use at one site and Dell NetExtender client software) - this works really well and without any issues.   @meraki_ - any update with regards to a Meraki VPN client or updates to enable the MX to use a 3rd party client???????????????????     ... Have the same issue - the Settings for the Win10 VPN client don't stick - they randomly change to a default value and not the settings needed by the Meraki VPN solution.   Either recheck your existing settings or create a new one using the Meraki instructions as normal.   It's a Windows 10 'feature' used to keep IT teams in a job - lol 🙂   rgds Gary ... Did you ever get this working CarOneAdmin??   We are having same issues, but with Win 10 and Win 7 laptops.   Setup new SSID using 802.1x and meraki authentication.  Mobile devices connect fine, but Win10 and Win7 laptops either say connecting...... for ages or come up with Certificate related issues same as those you posted.   Win7 machine fully updated as is Win 10 machine.   We want to be able to setup two Wifi SSIDS, internal and guest.  Internal we'd like only those devices registered in Meraki MDM to be able to access, don't want to have to type userid or passwords etc, Just basically, if registered in MDM, then devices is allowed to connect to the Wifi SSID, not registered, no connection.   As said, this does work for Mobile (IPhones tested currently) but not on laptops.   Any help appreciated   cheers Gary ... Have to agree with  PhilipDAth on this one - remove Admin or local admin rights to the PC for users.   We're just going through a windows 10 migration and only IT staff now have Admin rights - any software installs come through IT helpdesk.  Yep it does increase support calls etc, but does mean less chance of dodgy software causing mayhem on the network etc due to virusesssssss etc.   We did block shareware related sites, but had to open up sourceforge.net in order to download some software for IT to use -  lol.     ... Yep, see what you mean Shanec 😞   Have to agree with that, albeit it it's an improvement over the marker_id_xx issue - lol.   There should be an indication and clickable link on which network has a device in error state that takes you straight to that network/device, although if you have the Network tab of the table visible on the right of the screen, this takes you directly to the relevant alerting network, but if you have a shed load of networks, then viewing them all could be a problem.   8/10 Meraki Team, think about it from a users points of view not a devs viewpoint 🙂   Gary  ...
