Hi folks!
I need Meraki switch 24 with PoE to support 19 IP phone, which model can support? because I cannot find any 24 port switch support 740W.
Your advice please.
Solved! Go to solution.
You are highly unlikely to need 740W in a 24 port switch to support phones.
A typical phone uses 7W. 7W x 24 ports = 168W.
Maybe a super hungry phone with a video display might use 15.4W. 15.4W x 24 = 370W.
740W / 24 ports = 30W per port. That's like half of an old school incandescent 60W light bulb.
It will be a mistake. You won't need that kind of power.
What phones are they? That seems like an awfully large power draw for IP Phones.
You might need to go to a 48 port FP model.
According to spec sheets, MS355-24X2 can support 720W PoE.

@IMustafaSaleh i think ms 355 can do and of course the one powerful ms 390 can very well give you that capacity
