which switch 24 with PoE capability 740W

Hi folks!

I need Meraki switch 24 with PoE to support 19 IP phone, which model can support? because I cannot find any 24 port switch support 740W.

Your advice please.

You are highly unlikely to need 740W in a 24 port switch to support phones.

 

A typical phone uses 7W.  7W x 24 ports = 168W.

 

Maybe a super hungry phone with a video display might use 15.4W.  15.4W x 24 = 370W.

 

740W / 24 ports = 30W per port.  That's like half of an old school incandescent 60W light bulb.

 

 

It will be a mistake.  You won't need that kind of power.

What phones are they?  That seems like an awfully large power draw for IP Phones.

 

You might need to go to a 48 port FP model.

According to spec sheets, MS355-24X2 can support 720W PoE.

@IMustafaSaleh   i think ms 355 can do  and of course the one powerful ms 390 can very well give you that capacity
