Replace a Switch
Hello everybody.
I have to replace a Switch with a fan fail and I would like to know more about the replacement process.
Are these the steps to follow?
- Remove the damaged device and unclaim.
- Add new device and claim.
- Clone de new device.
Can I clone a new switch using the previously removed switch configuration?
Is the configuration still available?
Thank you.

Hi @jlopez_sv81 , as stated by @Dylan_YYC , clone first then remove from Network.
You won’t lose any switch config.
Completed a zillion times. Works a charm.

So the steps are
1. Claim the New switch - which I got via the RMA Process and Add to the Network.
2. Clone the Bad Failing Switch to the New Switch
3. Remove the Bad Switch, and Unclaim it from Inventory
4. Mail the Bad Switch back
