Replace a Switch

Hello everybody.

I have to replace a Switch with a fan fail and I would like to know more about the replacement process.

Are these the steps to follow?

  • Remove the damaged device and unclaim.
  • Add new device and claim.
  • Clone de new device.

Can I clone a new switch using the previously removed switch configuration?

Is the configuration still available?

Thank you.

You need to clone before removing the device from your network.

Hi @jlopez_sv81 , as stated by @Dylan_YYC , clone first then remove from Network.

You won’t lose any switch config.

Completed a zillion times. Works a charm.
