ECMS practice question

 

Which statement correctly describes the minimum Dashboard configuration requirements in order to turn on the wireless connectivity option for MV Cameras?

 

  1. A minimum of 1 wireless profile need to be defined and assigned as Primary
  2. A minimum of 2 wireless profiles needs to be defined and assigned, one as Primary and the other as Backup 
  3. A minimum of 2 wireless profiles needs to be defined and assigned, one as Primary and the other as Secondary  
  4. A minimum of 2 wireless profiles needs to be defined and assigned, one as Primary and the other as Secondary and Backup

The correct answer is C!

From the wireless profile window, select a Primary and Secondary SSID. A third Backup SSID is optional. 

Note: Two SSID profiles must be selected here. It is not possible to apply only a primary profile. Multiple SSID profiles allow for potential failover scenarios. The Meraki MV will prefer the Primary SSID and automatically failover to the Secondary followed by the Backup SSID.

I Cee what you all mean, but for the life of me I cannot fathom out why it was done this way.  The likelihood is that both profiles refer to an SSID on the same AP or set of APs so I would prefer A better answer...

So many times I asked myself "Why did they implement it *that* way ...".

Would it be C, since you need a second one incase the first one is offline, guessing this is setup like this to make sure the cameras have a better chance of not going down.
