Spring is in the air, and it’s time to do some digital tidying! We’re inviting YOU, our amazing Meraki Community members, to join our Spring Cleaning Challenge and help us identify outdated forum posts whose answers are no longer relevant. Not only will you be making the community a more useful resource for everyone, but you’ll also have a chance to win some nifty Meraki prizes!

How it works

We need your keen eyes 👀 and expert knowledge 📚 to help us spot old forum threads that need updating. Start by finding an outdated thread - Browse the forums and look for posts that contain answers that are inaccurate or no longer relevant. Then comment on this blog post before 11 a.m ET on Thursday, April 17th with a link to the thread with a brief explanation of why the info is no longer accurate. Each valid entry will count toward a prize drawing, with a maximum of 10 entries per participant.

What you get

Besides the satisfaction of helping keep the Meraki Community fresh and useful, each thread you identify (up to 10) counts as an entry for a chance to win a Meraki Sport Quarter Zip shirt.

How long to enter

The challenge runs from now until 11 a.m. ET Thursday, April 17th, so start spring cleaning! Let’s work together to make the Meraki Community even better. Happy cleaning! 🧹🌸

https://community.meraki.com/t5/Switching/Switch-release-dates/m-p/266038

Why outdated? – The discussion references older Meraki switch models and their release dates, but Meraki does not officially publish an updated list. Users relying on this may not have the latest hardware lifecycle information.

Why outdated? – Cisco’s licensing models and policies change frequently, especially with the transition to Wi-Fi 7. Older discussions may contain incorrect assumptions about compatibility and pricing.

Here is the link to the outdated thread: https://community.meraki.com/t5/Wireless/WPA3-Transition-mode-with-Enterprise-802-1X-radius/m-p/2353...

Here is the documentation it references which is still outdated and should be updated as well:

https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Wi-Fi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/WPA3_Encryption_and_Configuratio...

Reason: Under WPA3 and 6 GHz the line says "6 GHz SSIDs only support the use of WPA3, this means that transition mode will not be supported.".

This is inaccurate because since the MR 31 firmware and the introduction of WPA3-enterprise with transition mode, it is no longer the case that WPA3-Transition mode does not support 6ghz (confirmed this with Meraki Support in February of this year).

Using HAR Files to Troubleshoot Web Pages that are Failing to Fully Load - Cisco Meraki Documentatio...

I was provided this documentation by TAC as part of their troubleshooting. I think it should mention that .har files can't be uploaded to the TAC portal unless they are compressed in a .zip archive, some people might not know to try that.

Under the section: "Performing MX Templates Firmware Upgrades"

It directs you to change the time zone via "Security & SD-WAN>Configure>General". This is not correct, under a configuration template the correct trail is "Network-wide>Configure>General"
