UPDATE: this contest has ended. Thanks to everyone for sharing your 2022 resolutions! Congratulations to our three randomly selected winners: @Scottdb@Polymathink, and @Bill9!

Same as @PhilipDAth, I really want to do the DevNet Associate this year, some non-Cisco certifications are also waiting.

And I need to free my mind from network-stuff while cycling!

To try and get more clients to use Meraki hardware.  If I can get at least one client to use MV then I will consider it a success.  Hard to get them to understand the cost correlation and value of the product.

My new Meraki resolution is to get as many friends, family, and business owners transitioned over to Meraki. I started using it for home use and am loving the stability of the hardware. The hardware is just built with such quality you don't hardly see anymore with technology.

Last years goal was to find a job. I found a great job and they just installed a new Meraki network but had no one to run it. It could not have been a better fit for both of us, although I wish I would have been able to do the Meraki upgrade instead of taking over what a contractor left behind. Goal for this year is to get my first Meraki Cert. Taking the cert class in February. Company is giving me the day off to take the remote class from home. 2022 is going to be a great year.

Personal: Learn to weld.

Professional: Expand on the companies network security practices. Some areas are a little to lax for my comfort.

Need to show more customers the ease of use and setup that Meraki has, transition them to the better platform and stop the headache of more complicated setups from other networking vendors

Working with the local Meraki team, learning all about Meraki API's, I've started to build a IoT/Meraki demo for schools to demonstrate the possibilities in networking and IoT. Goal is the get students to become attracted to the technology and our company, offering them a internship. So, I'm now setting up a MX with a 4G internet connection, MV2, raspberry pi, AP and switch. Currently managed to let students make a noise (clap hands, shout, whatever) to trigger the camera and take a snapshot. All done over wireless and Meraki. Once Meraki Things API is opened up, plan is to add MT's to the setup and think of some other nice IoT demo's.
Let's face it: good IT people are hard to find so going to the very beginning (schools) and having an interactive demo get's the discussion going. Nothing more boring than a slideshow on IT...

One of my predecessors may not have realised that he misconfigured our internal address scheme by using a public IP address range that happens to be used by a very large publicly traded company. He started it with 192, but not 192.168.xxx.xxx. I knew we'd run into potential problems down the road, and we were able to avoid one this past year, but we really need to get this corrected.

This is the year we do so, which will require a host of changes from DNS to DHCP to routing, switching, you know the drill, across all locations.

Funny thing, no one here and none of our sub contractors can remember who did this or when it was done.

Thanks, dude.

We have a few campuses that were re-wired and I have been able to get about half of them all looking nice and pretty.

This year I want to finish cleaning up the cabling, get my CyberOps Associate and CCNP Security.

Anything beyond that would be a nice to have, but these three are on my get-it-done list.

Meraki-wise we're getting quite a few more 355s to replace our old 3850 stacks and will be implementing micro-segmentation using a combination of the 355s and firewalls (mainly MXs)

I want to learn how to use the APIs.  I am doing a large scale replacement of APs this year and would prefer not to manually enter each device and then place individually on the maps.

If you have done this and can share details of the process or can direct me to the best place to start, it will be appreciated.

I would love to migrate a good portion of our CCTV to MV cameras this year, the new MV52 is going to be a big help as I was concerned about how I would deal with the current bullet cameras we have.
