The Meraki TAC engineer said that the health check will be done only for the public IP/domain where it should be reachable from that tunnel only. So it seems Meraki dosen't have a failover solution for the non-Meraki IPSEC VPN tunnel where we create tunnels to other firewall or routers. The current Meraki failover solution is mainly for the internet type of traffic. Have anybody faced the same issue and have got the solution over it.

Hi @alemabrahao can we do the http probe check for the private IP which is reachable from tunnel or will have to do http probe for the public IP only.

Thanks Alessandro for the document. But when we configure health check will run if the firewall is in passthrough mode. But we are using firewall in the routed mode. So will our health check work?

We have configured the secondary tunnel on the Non-Meraki IPSec VPN peer but when we configured the health monitoring in the Meraki VPN peer it is showing as down. Need to know how we can configure the VPN tunnel failover if any of the ISP on the other end goes down.

Try connecting the laptop to the same camera port and check what IP it is getting. If it is getting the same 192.168.3.X series IP then on the laptop you will get the DHCP server details through which you could identify which DHCP server/system is creating the issue.

Are the L3 VLAN interfaces configured on the firewall. If No then these rules are of no use. Also try by creating a vice-versa rule like from testing to default and from default to testing and then check.

Then you can use reschedule or the defer option to shift the upgrade date to the later on. Also if you want some switches to be on the other firmware Meraki support will help you in doing that from backend and rest of the switches will be on the same firmware.

We are using 8.8.8.8 as our primary DNS server and 4.2.2.2 as secondary DNS server for all the network devices. Also this alert is showing only for some switches.

Yes I am able to ping the DNS server. But the alert stays for only few minutes and during that period the whole internal network goes down.

Switches are showing Disables switch (Bad DNS). Also checked the logs for loop but didn't get any. The whole network is of Meraki switches.

The SD wan preference works only with Meraki to Meraki VPN and not with non-Meraki VPN peer. So is there any other solution to this?

We have 2 ISP which have been terminated on the Meraki firewall. We want internet from ISP 1 and site to site VPN tunnel to be from ISP 2. I had configured preference under SDWAN but it is not happening. Could you please let me know how can I achieve it.

We have got MA-SFP-10GB-SR SFP but it is not fitting properly in Meraki MX250 firewall WAN port which is SFP+ port. Also when we connect MA-SFP-1GB-TX it it fitting properly and also working. So could you please confirm whether the MA-SFP-10GB-SR SFP is compatible with SFP+ port of firewall.
