Found this: From a SIM card format perspective, it's the same 4FF "nano" format SIM card (same size), the device does work on 4G band as well yes. Just like mobile phones, if you have 5G SIM+phone and there's no 5G in range it will fallback to 4G. If you’ve got a 5G device but only got a 4G SIM card, it will still provide signal and connectivity. https://meraki.cisco.com/product-collateral/mg-cellular-gateways/?file On the last line on the last page of this datasheet, there's a link to a detailed spreadsheet of Band compatibility – this will show everything in (a lot) of detail, per provider as well.

Hi All I'm looking for a Table or any information on what Ethernet Cable Categories some of the newer and more Powerful Meraki AX Access Points need. This is in regards to potential refresh requirements of older installations of access points. The MR36 and MR44 may still work with Cat 4 or 5 Cable, but moving to the MR46 and MR56, do these need to have Cat5e or Cat6 feeding in to the AP from the Switch? Does any one have any confirmation or information on this please? Thanks ian

Hi Phil UK based, as is the customer i'm looking to help in this situation. Although i believe there is a little confusion on the customers behalf since i've logged this, i have the MS120-8LP at home at have explained that this wouldn't normally be racked on a wall in their environment anyway. They normally just place it in a small cabinet without the need to rack, so not sure i have a problem anyway more really. Happy to have any further feedback though. Thanks Phil

I got this back from aGVE case from Cisco too, thanks for adding to this: The mounting brackets are delivered in the box with the device. There is no dedicated part number under which they can be ordered separately. We do not have compatible spares which we can propose if the client wants to have additionally only the brackets. HI, Currently in a situation where our client has moved kit around in their infrastructure and the mounting kits that came with the MS120-8FP-HW is missing. Hi I have a customer who is potentially looking at mass deployment of the MR42 model. I can see the differences between the 3x3x3 of the MR42 and the 2.4GHz: 2 x 2 multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) with two spatial streams // 5GHz: 4 x 4 multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) with four spatial streams of the MR44. Naturally we'd want to get the customer looking at WIFI 6 Models moving forward, however i'm not really sure what the upgrade path for future proofing an environment is for current or proposed MR42 estates. What gotchas should i be looking at, i can see that there is potentially detail around Apple users on 3x3x3, but unsure what that means... Is the MR44 an upgrade path for the MR42 and are there any issues and qualifying details i'd need to go through? Or should the MR46 be the upgrade path? Thanks

Hi All, Hope you are well. In the process of looking at Meraki NOW for a client, and the question has come up about the potential length of the service. Whilst i see from the Solution Guide of what SLA's are available, i can't see how far the length of the term can go: https://meraki.cisco.com/lib/pdf/meraki_now_solution_guide.pdf What i do understand from CCW is that 60 Months looks to be the maximum term that can be quoted, is this 60 months the official line in regards to official upfront pricing and term that can be presented as a price? Wishing you all a very positive 2020 ! I have some questions around the Meraki Learning Hub and what and where i should be looking at improving my skills with Meraki products, and hence have some questions. Is the ECMS1 and ECMS2 a Pre Requisite to the CMNA course? How do these courses differ? I have passed the CMNA course already, hence would i benefit from taking the additional ECMS1 and ECMS2 courses? When will the "Meraki Certification (Under Development)" become available, are there any time scales on this at all? Thanks Ian

Hi I picked up on this in the last week with the Meraki Road shows through the UK. I've since looked at the detail closely in regards to a SKU basis and presume that these are the Licenses that end -1D. EG: LIC-ENT-1D (Meraki MR Enterprise License-1 Day) LIC-MS120-8FP-1D (Meraki MS120-8FP Enterprise License and Support-1 Day) I presume that in cases where this is suitable, and the customer wanted 3 Year for a specific project out of different customer cost centres *1095 x Of each License (for 3 Years) It is the -1D licenses that i presume are for this process? Although there will be some tangible hardware within your environment of course, the transformation to SD-WAN, Cloud Managed Environments and the domination of intellectual software management for entire customer platforms away from separately managed silos and environments is the basis of Digital Transformation moving forward. I like to use this as an example of how digital transformation will happen in the work place moving forward. Digital Transformation is something that we see in everyday life and many of us have already applied this in our day to day activities. We've moved from VHS, to DVD to BluRay and now Streaming is a way that people watch films, (or "box sets" if you like). It's happened, the change in that industry for home users has had a "digital transformation" which is now considered to be normal practice. Digital Transformation in the work place will also move and be part of every day life and best practice, how quickly we move our business' in that direction is naturally dependent on circumstance.

Hi A client is looking at moving MX68CW, MS225 and MR42 out of the UK to Qatar, will this have any effect on the Lifetime Hardware Warranty? And will Meraki NOW also work in Qatar as well? Worth note that some of the switches don't have the same naming convention as others, so you can't follow the same naming pattern for each switch type throughout the Meraki Switch portfolio. EG: MS120-8 Vs MS120-24: MS120-8 https://meraki.cisco.com/products/switches/ms120-8 MS120-24 https://meraki.cisco.com/products/switches/ms120-24 Under Product Highlights in each section where the Power/PoE is mentioned, it will tell you what the naming convention is for each switch. Once you've reviewed this, take a look at the Data Sheet at the bottom of each page and then you can study what is available for each seperate switch. Once you have this information, you can start to use the calculations that @AjitKumar and @BrechtSchamp have provided with you so far on PoE per switch. Don't just use P, LP and FP for every switch as it doesn't always work in that manner...
