Hello I`m trying to open a case for Meraki support regarding an issue I have with my MX (Showing many Events dropped). Although I opened a case two times already, nothing is showing in the Dashboard. Any idea what can be done?

I agree The Current (MX67) version is: MX 18.107.2 The utilization is as follows (Currently, the users are not working, all are at home) - and overall it seems that it`s very low What do you recommend?

BTW I have another site, that has Two MS120 switches there. (This is the site I work at and have physical access to the equipment) I can see there also many RSTP role change for multiple ports (One of them I see the cable is not good, and I`ll have it replaced tomorrow) But for the rest of the ports with the RSTP role change, the cables are ok (According to the test from the dashboard). Do you recommend replacing them either way (since U said I should count on the cable test from the Dashboard). - it is a VOIP equipment (Logitech MeetUp).

Great! I`ll have the user replace the cable tomorrow. I tried to Cycle this specific port, but again it is still 10Mbps, + the Cable test is not ok. I can see this port goes up and down all the time - Should I disable it for now? or better yet, change the RSTP to Disabled until the user replaces the cable?

I ran the Cable test on the ports. The 10Mbps port cable seems damaged; I`ll have the user replace it! Regarding the traffic shaping rules, we have a "Per-client limit' for 50Mbps, & "SpeedBurst " is enabled (I was advised to keep it on, What do you think?) Moreover, we have the following rule applied: ( VOIP traffic priority set to High)

I have no one who can get another switch there and test with another cable (At least not in the upcoming week) So maybe I`ll start with the Cable Test from the Dashboard. Regarding the STP change on those ports, Port 3 - is a PS5 (Console) - currently turned off. Port 13- Is a Lenovo Workstation - is currently up and running, but it seems like its port speed is 10Mbps - Dont know why; maybe a local issue with this Workstation.

Hey @alemabrahao Thank you for responding! We only have one switch in this network. So you think it`s a matter of cables? Should I run the Cable rest on the switch? (I`m working remotely, but can do it now, no one is working in that office now)

Hello We have a site with Cisco Meraki equipment (MX 67 + MS120-48LP) I see many events in the Event Log for the switch (Port RSTP role change) *Attached picture. Users are complaining that Download\Upload speeds are very low. Moreover, I can see in the Event log for the security appliance many Events dropped (Pic attached) For the switches, the "STP configuration" is Enabled (Pic attached) Any idea how to start the diagnosis?

Thanks, Alemabrahao It seems that users need to add a route on their personal device before connecting to the VPN. But, they want to connect to the end station only ( and not route all traffic through the VPN) According to Meraki: "Cisco Meraki Client VPN only establishes full-tunnel connections, which will direct all client traffic through the VPN to the configured MX. As such, any content filtering, firewall or traffic shaping rules will apply to the VPN client's outbound traffic." Do you think I can enable Split tunnel in my MX75?

Hey Brash Thank you for your reply. All Workstations reside in the 192.168.100.x subnet (VLAN 1) Once a client connects from home, he gets an IP from subnet 192.168.110.x. I understand that my configuration isn't correct. I also don't have any dedicated VLAN for the VPN (Under Routing); I only have the default one. Do I need to add here the VPN subnet? or it`s enough for the "Client VPN" page to configure it? Adding pictures to show my current configuration

Hello I configured the Meraki VPN for our users. The VPN subnet is: 192.168.120.1/24 Client's workstations subnet is: 192.168.110.1/24 Once they connect successfully to the VPN, they are unable to reach their workstations (Routing issue, it seems) Do I need to add a Static Route in the MX? Attached is a picture of what I need to configure; I want to ensure I`m configuring it correctly. Thank you!

I read that I need to ensure UDP ports 500 (IKE) and 4500 (IPsec NAT-T) are being forwarded to the MX and not blocked. Is it needed? What shall I configure on the MX firewall?

Checked the Event log in Meraki, as you said, but nothing showing about VPN connectivity... what else can cause it do you think? I can see in Windows event log, the "Work VPN requires attention." but no popup to input anything...

Hello I work in a company, and we deployed the following: SD-WAN - MX67 Switch - MS120 AP - MR44 I configured the Client VPN from the dashboard and created a user to connect with. I copied the Shared Secret to the Pre-Shared Key in my client (Win10) I made Sure to input the password we created for the user in the PreShared Key section (under advanced) When I click connect, it`s just hanging and keeps showing me the "connecting".. nothing happens, no popup to type user & pass nothing. I noticed, that when I ping the Hostname externally, I don't have reply, should I do something? What am I doing wrong?

Hello We had a site that we decided to close down. Due to that, I had to move my Meraki devices (One MS & Two MR) in the dashboard to a different network I created. We are about to connect this equipment to our new site. Before connecting it, do I need to reset it to factory defaults? Thank you!

You are correct! I will disable the Built-in WiFi of the MX, and use the MR AP that we have deployed there, no worries. Thank you for the heads up!

I`m sorry, I`m having trouble understanding.😑 If I take the MX68, Which supports up to 600Mbps, it means that the Internet line will not be fully utilized? Since my line is 1Gb\1Gb, the bottleneck would be the MX.? Sorry for not being able to understand ..

Hello We have an office with 35 users with the following hardware: Cisco Meraki MX75 Cisco Meraki MS120 x2 Cisco Meraki MR46 x5 Primary uplink of 200 \ 200 Mbps. A secondary uplink - is being deployed now. What best practices should I follow to configure the Secondary Uplink as a spare? (in case the primary goes down, I want the secondary to failover) Is it ok to change or edit the IP address of the secondary uplink via the Dashboard? or should I do it only via the local status page? According to Meraki Support: "Note: Modifying the state (enabled/disabled) or addressing method (static/DHCP) of a WAN connection from Dashboard causes both WAN interfaces to reset, which results in a loss of connectivity on both Internet uplinks for up to 2 minutes. Therefore, it is recommended to only make changes during a planned maintenance window so that disruption is minimal." Thank you!

@BlakeRichardson Thank you for that, my friend. I understand it`s ok to run the configuration I have now. The ease of management all in one Dashboard appeals me. I`ll check the prices for the MX, we`ll probably purchase one thank you!
